Are we getting A19 or A18.3 in this upcoming patch? Any hints for what's to come? :cocksure:

Can you elaborate on 7dtd not being an FPS and why that makes a one-hit kill weapon nonviable?
Wait yeah I just saw that post, how is 7DTD not an FPS?? It's first-person and you shoot. Seems like all the criteria has been met to me.

AS50 , "700 nitro express" , intervention , Barrett 50.cal, L96 , Dragunov , M14 , PT-RS. thats all i can think of.

also maybe a mod for the hunting rifle that allows to shot a 50.cal round. for the cost of durability and recoil

Well I have no criteria for it other than it "looks cool". We'll break it into pieces and put it back together again with glue, duct tape and make shift parts anyway, but having something cool as a base for inspiration would be nice.

like this to compare (note had to do this twice)

M4A1/Combat Rifle: Less Durability then AK , 3 round burst (change with mods) , 45 Shots (15 with burst)(can be changed) , More range then AK , fast Fire rate, A USA classic , Slightly Faster reload , and looks cool

AK47: More durability , full auto (change with mods) , 30 Shots (can be changed) , Average range , Average fire rate , a Russian Classic , Average Reload , Looks cool two.

plus the M4A1 has a special place in my heart due to it being the first gun iv very shot with.

That is a machinegun, and is the T3 machinegun already. The assault rifle will be T2 machinegun and AK47 will be the T1 machinegun.

The blank I'm trying to fill is here: T1 Hunting rifle, T2 Marksman Rifle, T3 something cool here.

Barrett 50. Cal? Seems like the obvious progression; just an ultimate one-shot one-kill rifle.

edit: wait, you probably wouldn't want to introduce a new ammo type just for one gun. There are some badass .44 Magnum lever action rifles if you want to make .44 useful elsewhere; maybe you could slot that in at T3, or bump the Marksman Rifle up and have it be a new T2? There are also many other marksman rifles like the G3SG that could fit realistically as a military gun.

If you want to stick with a 7.62 caliber go with the SAKO TRG 42. Otherwise go with the McMillan TAC-50 for .50 cal goodness.

If its that powerful it might warrant .50 cal or whatever to separate it from the other weapons. Its end game, at that point you might be crafting your own ammo anyway.

maybe the gun has a natural penetration. i mean 50.cal can go through a tank like a hot knife through butter. so imagine rotten dead people!

and maybe a special ammo called "50.cal HE ammo" were its like a Small explosive round (while hard to make) it can kill the biggest and meanies Zombie in just a shot.

Well, its a reasonable survival adaptation given the abundance of high-powered firearms in the enviroment.
It actually would be cool if there was a 2 headed zombie where killing one head actually had an impact (e.g. reduces its damage output)..... 😎👍

 
On the other hand, it could be like the rage mechanic where the zombie gets stronger because there are no longer conflicting messages being sent.

Also, why stop at two heads? What about three headed Hellhounds?

So what is a bad ass top tier cool sniper rifle?
As others have said, M107 .50 cal is the obvious choice. Could also do something like the AWP if you wanted to be trite, but it probably shouldn't be bolt-action. Even being magazine-fed, going from semi-auto to bolt action would feel like a downgrade, I'd wager.

And yeah, the M107 has APHE rounds that explode on impact, as well as the typical ball ammo. Technically their fuse isn't sensitive enough to explode on humanoid targets (without hitting body armor), but realism shmealism, right?

Rage mechanic would be too similar to what the demo brings to the table already. I'm thinking a 2 head ogre type like the Hawaiian/Cop zed....or a tall gangly 2 headed zed...😂

 
Badass top tier rifle for sniper class is probably M82A1.

Endgame weapon I mentioned many times before might be also magnetic accelerator known as railgun, and at the same time could be ascribed to perks under Intelligence.

A sniper rifle is not a class of weapon.

"Sniper" is a military qualification, something you have to go to a special school to earn.

Therefore, a sniper rifle is whatever rifle a qualified sniper is using.

Please, think of implementing someday as someone mentioned before carabines/assault/battle rifles similar to M4A1, M4, M16A2/3/4, SCAR-L, F2000, light machine gun M249SAW etc. with 5.56 caliber.

A Mime Zombie with a puppet!

The puppet is supernatural (inline with the supernatural theme of the game) if it's hit before the zombie carrying it is killed it will leap at the player, wrapping itself around the players head (like in the Aliens movie).

The player cant see or breath until they pull it off them by holding on the "E" key for a while.

Optionally, it will do 1-3 points of damage per second while its attached and if the player dies... THEY BECOME A ZOMBIE! Ether permanently or until the morning. :)

I had the same idea, but the puppeteer zombie was a poi screamer.
