I just noticed the new couches at the beginning of this thread. Added 1 hour ago? Nice!
Edit: I love how the plaid design was kept. Like a hommage to the old replaced one. Great job lol!
thats old news now... you need to be faster :)

the plaid looks much better now.

How's the terrain generation of the biomes looking in A19? Any major alterations between the current alpha and the next?

Also, I've noticed you've re-done the texture model for the LCB; it resembles the A16 version back when it was made of iron. Is the recipe still going to be 5 stones?

Damn, just realized it's only like 6 or 7 OGs posting. Where did everybody go? Not just this thread either.
Just waiting for the update, so I can litter the world with thrown spears until it crashes the game.

Not really much to talk about other than how stupid people are in acting like a slightly worse flu season is the toilet paper apocalypse, and shutting down the planet so people actually starve lel.

With the ongoing lockdowns, I've been itching to sink my teeth into this game again. Are there any time estimates for A19 alpha release?
Plenty of them, none of them very accurate and none of them any time soon. :-)

There'll be some teaser vids released beforehand and the forum will be going crazy with the hype train.

That sucks. At one point they said smaller and more frequent content patches might become a thing...

They can release it any time before August and it will still have been more frequent than the past three....

....New couch model!

I love these new models because they are an old look with an improvement! They seem very cozy and comfortable as before :)

The game has been performing better the last few alphas not worse, so I really don't like these false statements blanketed in a question.

...
Yes. The performance improvement was very good. It was especially nice that it didn't affect the visible quality.

Yes, that's right :) . But there is less and less time left for this to be true... :D

No ambition to partner with a publisher, nor really be AAA, but we would like to make great games that might look or feel AAA, but have the game play we like. I think lots of studios get stupid big and the burn rate is ridiculous. They throw away multiple half finished games because nobody has any passion, its whatever funding you can get for x y z. That is no way to build a studio or build a brand IMO.
That's right, Man. Don't get into that pile of droppings. All the same, you will not earn all the money - but you will remain yourself.

Interesting that one of the couch sectionals has a shape selector icon. I wonder if they are trying to unify more blocks into that system. I like them personally so wouldn't mind it. One of my mods actually expands on the shape selector function for storage containers... :p

I agree there were performance issues with last two alphas. But.... they were mainly in experimental for me. I understood I opted in having these possible issues. I started after A15 stable. A16 I dont remember any performance issues. A17 I still had regular 24" widescreen monitor using 19x12, so going to 10x7 didn't seem that big. A18 I had 34" extra widescreen at 34x14, so having to switch to 10x7 to play at reasonable FPS seemed big. But I still didnt feel the need to rage post about.... EXPERIMENTAL

If I'm playing a solo game... I always "gift" myself a bicycle on third day... I don't need anything more... but I enjoy the variety vehicles when playing with a server with more peeps.

I like the fact that the modlets are working. I'm a boomer and being able to download interesting systems into the game keeps the game fresh for me.

My favorites :

-Jax Teller718's increase X5 wilderness zombie spawn

-KHLogSpikes

-Snufkin_CustomZombies

For Version 19 I hope the mod-modlet compatibility stays and I wish they'd bring back the 240 minute day option again. I saw no reason to change that.

As for Graphics.... absolutely beautiful.... sometimes I play just to enjoy the scenes, poi's and sunsets.... Magnificent work gentlemen ….. Spell bound for years now.

Look youre technically right, but lets not forget that it was estimated to release A19 ( or back then Bookupdate) before Christmas 2019.

Yes, Update Cycle got a tad faster, but the idea of small and frequent content-updates got obviously scrapped right after Madmole explained his hope for it.

(im very carefully avoiding the word "promise" here^^)

Just whatever you do, dont Partner up with EA. Those guys kill Studios like i kill Amaretto Shots on a quiet Quarantine Afternoon^^

Hey @faatal and others did you notice this thread on Reddit?
https://www.reddit.com/r/7daystodie/..._to_die_unity/

Looks important, some users are getting a HUGE performance boost easily. Maybe these Unity options can be set as default for A19 if devs find are stable enough
had no major effect on my ryzen 2700x @4GHz, RTX 2080 TI, 64G Ram on M.2 NVMe (maybe works for older systems)

tested in a18.4b4 and a19
