One 8k map I'm still working on has 9 Traders and one quarter of the map is 6 pretty large cites.
I got it with a typo: MyMao

Here is a screen shot of the city filled corner (there are other population areas but this is the standout.

I made this one with NitroGen. Awesome tool...

Yeah I think Nitrogen is an awesome tool! I'm planning to start a new game using on of its maps. It also generates those map really quickly (as in, about 5 times as quick as compared with vanilla).

Yeah, done that 8k map in 6 minutes or so. Though, it does not create the splat files. So the first time you load the map, it will load a little longer while those are created. Still a hell of a lot faster than the in-game one..

...but the thing that I like most, is the options. You get so many options on how you want the world to be, and the biomes makes sense. As you can see from that image, you get bomb craters, and you have your wasteland biomes inside those craters, and burnt forest is not a whole county, but patches/areas that burnt down. This one is especially nice, as you have that one big crater inside a city. So it gives a whole creepy immersion when you start incursions in to that zone.

Yeah exactly, and more naturally shaped cities and towns. Zonation within towns is also nice. Rivers, lakes (though no bridges I think.. yet). I don't like the grass-rich roads though, but I think Damocles said he wanted to work a bit on that.

All in all.. Nitrogren is miles ahead of TFP when it comes to RWG.

I can add an option to have roads without the grass paches. “Deterioration level, years after the apocalypse”

Please do so, if you do that I'll start using your tool. its the only thing that turns me off, damned those grass patches..not sure why but they drive me crazy for whatever reason.

Great work making a generation tool that is far better than anything the devs have made.

@TFP Hire this man already, he would be such a blessing to the game!!!! Clearly this dude has far more talent than anyone at TFP when it comes to coding random gen. just sayin'.

You are crazy for doing horde nights at that FPS.....
Love the steel I-Beams and elevated garage. Are those beams tractable in vanilla?
that's all vanilla

you can make them in the forge

Nitrogen is a random world generator which creates maps for 7 days to die. In my (perhaps not so humble) opinion it creates very beautiful and (somewhat) realistic maps. Much better than the vanilla game. Also much faster.
I’ll take a deeper look into it. Not that I don’t have faith in TFP and there map generation system.

Always have an open mind for alternative options that’s all.

Nah man... not cool.

Im sure if a RWG map creator was the only thing they had to work on, it would have been on-par with the best. There are so many things they have to do and make work all at the same time.

Im sure when we get to Beta, the RWG generator will get polished with the rest of the mechanics that's now just brought up to a level of running stable, as is the norm with Alpha stage development.

Well everyone is intitled to there opinion and I stand by mine, sorry you feel its not cool. Everything u wrote I had already considered before posting as I always try and think before I post. RWG will be perfected before the game goes gold according to MM. :)

Random world generator version 3 is around the corner so that’s exciting.

I have always enjoyed and marvelled at RWG applications.

I can not personally imagine the amount of valuables and sub conditions that are required within such programs.

God created the universe etc. in 7 days.

In 7 days to die TFP created this.

Anyone know how the math for Iron Chin works? Is it 5% flat damage reduction? Is it multiplicative or additive with armor? Does the stun resistance also work with armor's effect resistance?

Basically, since armor caps out at 90% damage reduction and has an inherently pretty large amount of effect resistance, I want to know if Iron Chin becomes redundant at a certain point or not. Also, depending on where that 5% damage reduction per-rank factors in, it could either be dreadful or really useful. Anyone got info?

I've got a quad mine going on pregen01. lotsa coal, iron, some lead now, and the nitrate mine from hell. :)

In front of the trader were 4 iron boulders. diggin those out.

at bedrock going between the 2 bunkers, hit a huge lead mine, then further up, oh look, more coal and lead.

Lead of course, is everwhere in the forest. Same lots of iron. A few coal boulders and nitrate, but by gods, there's LOTS underground.

Mind you, we NEED lots of that, so it's good. I much prefer this to hitting every stupid gravel patch.

(oh yeah, shale. desert nearby, that stuff is like lead in the forest. I mine it as I need it)
