man I would love a dart trap on a gyro. so it could shoot at angles, add a camera to it. be like a dart turret instead of just a trap.
Agreed, pity turrets don't like mimicking launchers in terms of ballistics etc.

Could probably make a turret that simulated firing darts (bleed, ammo type etc).

that is honestly such a waste and a tragedy. ): oh well.
Whoa, I haven't logged on in about 4 years.

Why was the Behemoth thrown in the trash-bin of history? Perhaps it will make a comeback? Sounded like so much fun and could have been at VERY late game stages when people think they were done playing their current world....

Anyway, that's why I logged back in after all these years--was too curious what happened to the Behemoth!

(P.S. Also logged back in to say "WELL DONE" to the current developers! A18 is what got my girlfriend and me back into playing (also have an extra copy bought to gift to my father of 68 years)) :)

@MM

Found these 13.75 degree angle blocks in a POI that says "Plating" on the out side. Problem is they are no where in the game. I found them in the Creative menu. it is a 4 block set named:

narrow wedge high

narrow wedge mid

narrow wedge low

narrow wedge tip

these blocks are perfect for vehicles as they don't damage them when you drive up them or down them. can these please be added to the game?

Exactly!
The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to leave zombies out of the encounter system. Keep it to random traders, helping people in distress and bandits. Those would be easier to “fake” so to speak than large hordes of zombies magically appearing.

Loc
Well the random guy running to your door with a horde behind him isn't so bad. You get to decide to let him in and help him kill the herde or not help him the herd gets him while you stay silent and the zs don't bother with your base cause they don't know your there.

Day 28 Horde, default difficulty, 60 min days, lvl 32, gs 70, max alive 10. The local PD showed up. 😎

Changes since Day 21:

-Added more electrical fence

-Added additional junk turret (found in loot)

-Added shotgun turret

Enjoy!!!

new gardening is ♥♥♥♥, get a grip. who makes a plater box when you can dig up ground and plant directly into the soil.
anyone in a situation where spending long hours outside looking at the ground could be fatal. anyone who wanted to grow crops inside or on a roof.

People who live in high rises.

People who live in units

People who sit on their roof while it's night time during a zombie apocalypse

Could keep going but point made......

Ok so you don't answer walls of text. That's fine.

-Not having farm day 1? Yes . Requiring rotten meat? Bad

-Switch rotten meat with something else.

-Making lucky looter govern looting chances is bad. Lucky looter should switch to faster looter. Looting chances should be static, make ALL looted tools and weapons level 1, make people level up their perks ,scrap items and try to find more tools. Give people a better incentive to constantly go out of their bases instead of cheating their way through easy looting.
don't understand the rotting flesh problem. It would make a great fertilizer IRL.

see what happens when you dont follow the noise ordinance? like the hatches. you put your shotgun turret opposite where mine is going.

good job, lets see how much longer you can dead is dead.

been doing a little lan game with the wife, she refuses being recorded. she will take the place of the turrets at the top with her DB shotgun

Nonsense you don't need it at all. Its completely possible to find everything in the game. I rarely buy it. All it does is pretend you are a few levels higher than you are so you might get an orange instead of a brown, but wait a few days and you'll be getting oranges anyway. You'll get the same stuff eventually so its a waste of points aside from reducing the radius of treasure if your in it for a long game. If you want end game by day 75 instead of 100 then go for it I guess, to each his own.
You need to not spread misinformation it just makes you look stupid and makes us have to put out these fake fires. You should ask, or say "Im not sure but I heard it ____", rather than creating all this bogus information.
This. I'm far enough in I loot t6's and I don't have the perk, Yeah my boyfriend with the perk loots more t6's than me, but I've still found most of the blueprints and all kinds of fancy stuff.

Haha, the wife would be joining me to if her PC could play A18 still. Maybe next year...😂

Figured best use of the auto turrets are point blank so less wasted ammo. 😎👍 Having them face the stairs will hopefully minimize chance of shooting demolishers in the no no spot once they turn up...😂😂😂

I tried a different wire config for the electric fence this time around. Not sure if that's what caused them to wear out faster or if the increased horde #s is what did it. Will review my repair video and make the necessary adjustments. 😎👍

Nice man, I like it. I can't see how one can stand motion blur but to each their own xD. I want to try out the turret syndrom now.

yeah, I ramped up where you have stairs, and made the ramp of trussing so the shotgun turret and autoturret will still be facing a brick wall, but will tear up what ever come up them.

ok, so demolishers tear through spikes and barbed wire. how do they do on electric fences?
Excellent question! Hopefully it still works on them...😂

I'm still not perked high enough for 2 active. Tbh not sure its needed yet. Maybe once radiated start showing up. Having multiple turrets saves time having to reload them.

Yeah I've used one from time to time in runs but never full-time(?). But in my last run when I activated 16-horde every night on 10-min 24 cycles the 1 lvl 5 junk turret I found modded with a drum mag definitely did some work - like my little friend lol. This run im currently slowly playing I'm going to respec into int and something else when I get done with str for farming up base mats.

Electric fencing does great for demos, just watch out they don't explode on them. But the stun makes for really easy dispatching of them.

Regarding this new encounter system; i don't see much of an advantage of it unless NPCs and bandits get introduced. Which will take some years/alphas. If the game can sense where you're going (can the game sense that..?), and if the game then spawns zombies in that area, don't you just end up with a lot of unused zombies if you change direction often (which I do a lot if I'm in a town). Won't that be then exactly the same as what we have now?
