Let's say to make partner, you have to make a million in billable hours. Your current rate is $250 an hour. How many hours must you bill to qualify for partner?
...algebra. That's how many. =)
You have $20 and you're gonna go get some dollar double cheeseburgers from McDonalds, in a tax free world how many double cheeseburgers can your fat ass get?

1(x) = 20; x = 20 double cheeseburgers

@madmole A couple of days ago I found a fairly serious exploit. Some I would be willing to leave in unnoticed (note: I'm just speaking hypothetically here), but this one is a little overpowered. :p If you put 3 points into Intellect and then equip a pair of nerdy glasses, that will artificially bring you up to 5/10 Intellect (because of the glasses). Then you can put 3 points into Better Barter; the 3rd point into Better Barter begins of the trend of giving you a better, but different, secret stash.

You visit the trader with your nerdy glasses on (with 5/10 Intellect and 3/5 Better Barter) and you browse/purchase from his secret stash. Then you take your nerdy glasses off. You are brought down to 4/10 Intellect and only 2/5 Better Barter, as you no longer qualify for the third rank. This gives you the default secret stash. In other words, using this method, you can get 2 unique secret stashes per trader, per visit.

Make use of this while you still can, forum members! :p

Love it. =)

Naw I kinda get the quality connection to mod slots. A high quality gun will have the ability to add a silencer or laser sight, whereas cheaper lower quality versions will not.
But you could make the quality reduction/improvement do so many things, a crappy laser sight that intermittently works, flickering on and off and whilst working, generally being something that you would want to move on from asap, and a crappy quality scope that is cracked and grimy with dirt and useful over nothing, but also generally something you want to only use early game. Perhaps even quality could give you improved reticule options, eg: Mildot/PSO-1(svd) etc...

While I would personally love it, I'd hate to be the dev that was forced to write code or make the models for all of those things this close to gold. =)

ButI definitely would subscribe to that mod.

would really like a T2 bicycle. a MTB for those hilly landscapes. also a dual sport/dirtbike as a sidegrad to the existing bike. slower on the road, less durable but more traction/speed offroad and uphill.

actually every vehicle tier could use a sidegrade, which is only craftable by lvling grease monkey - making the perk great again :D

7dtd Algebra example:

Smelting items into the Forge. Iron/Clay/Lead/others take 5 seconds for each piece to smelt.

Wood burns for 50 seconds per piece.

You mine and put in 420 Iron and 513 Clay.

If you want to put in just enough fuel to smelt the Iron then; 420 x 5 sec = 2,100 sec ; 2,100 sec / 50 sec = 42

You may notice there's an easy ratio there; 10 to 1. One Wood burns for 10 times the 5 seconds it takes to smelt a single piece of Iron.

So just divide the number of items you want to smelt, if they take 5 secs to smelt, by 10 to find out how much Wood to use.

Last bit is simple division but to find the magic divisor you used algebra.

Useful to think of 'Algebra' as simply, "finding an unknown".

<intentionally not using "solving" as that can make folks zone out :) >

well i got my work done before i start tormenting everyone

plus i like school. but some stuff ik im not going to uses COUGH algebra COUGH
Yeah if you don't want algebra in your life you can always become a geologist.

I'm much more concerned about his grammar than his math skills; he's at LEAST 6th grade (presumably) and should know your/you're and their/there/they're, much less punctuation and whatnot.
I know Joel does the your/you're bit but he's independently wealthy so can get away with it.
Dang guppy, grammar police too? Your out to kill today...😅

Listen to George Carlin. He'd tear this forum a new one as far as grammar is concerned.

Just a little bit of his stuff.

Not sure this is a bug or an engine oddity. Finding some wall blocks merged into others (sometimes flicker) can be also walked through (as in no clipping)

This is a new game etc, fresh RWG map I created with my own seed. I also can destroy also some doors and frames remain, again I find I can walk through them.
