Lol, that's insane.
... although I can /somewhat/ sympathize, I refuse to create an account for nexusmods just to dl a mod...

Something something principal something
Whaaaat? Nexusmods is LIFE! Skyrim or Fallout + Mods = 2k hours in the toilet minimum.

faatal, you mentioned that you might be adding an AF setting to the options menu this week. Cool, but is it going to be on/off, or have more options like off, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x?

I ask because for me, with a 4GB 960 I have enough VRAM to run full textures with AF on but 2x or 4x AF still runs much faster and looks way better than AF off (tested through GPU control panel). I understand that the default "on" is 16x AF which seems high.

+Changed: Destroyed workstations now have a 25% chance to contain that workstations crafting schematic (Joel)
Yes!!!

And now the various workstation perks are useless just like I like them to be!! Awesome :)

18,759players right now and this is on a friggin' Monday of all days.

Very nice, I don't recall the numbers getting this high during A17 experimental.
cuz A18 is good!

joel and Jesus are the same in my book!

MM and I vehemently disagree because he appears to want a simple game where solutions are handed down to you over time, where I want a complicated game that challenges players to think and compensate. You know, the type of game it used to be. :)
He's going to win of course, it's his game, but I'm never going to stop fighting.

Right now weapons have stats. A low purple can be worse than a good brown, I think Gazz said? So those stats are already in the items... Have each usage of repair degrade those stats. Done.

Now you're not using the same purple that you find on day 1, because it's degrades, loot does not need to be nerfed, whiners don't need to worry about there mods rolling down a hill, and we bring back a little complication into what right now is far too simple.
Complication is a slippery slope. The important thing to consider is how rewarding the activity is. So building a vehicle is more complicated than a stone axe, because it is much more rewarding. Complicating things to the point where its tedious and its just clicking stuff over and over again isn't good. So I always say KISS, but its ok to have some depth to later game activities that are more rewarding.

How is getting better at running when your character runs a lot complicated?

Madmole, for the mining book how about a reduce chance to spawn a screamer while mining.
That isn't easy. I need something doable with just me and notepad, not c# and 5 programmers who have full plates and deadlines :)

btw is it me, or is the 'Corner Round' Block missing from the Flagstone shape selector? It's still there in concrete, though...

Any news about the performance fixes? Do you guys have a workable solution or do you need more data/testing?
Had a friend with a better system (RX580 + Intel 4.5Ghz) than me try to co-op with me yesterday but his fps was unplayable even after setting AF to off. :( Tried all the settings, but his fps drops to the floor after opening the charactersheet. Changing UMA texture setting seemed to work for half an hour, but then it went south again and no matter what we tried, it stayed in the unplayable range of fps. Now it's constantly bad, even without opening the charactersheet.
I had a similair thing happento me when i broke the settings (upon restart i was stuck at less than 25fps no matter what). Deleting the options out of registry fixed this issue for me, hope this helps. :)

Agreed. The game is a lot more fun now. Back when the game was overly tedious I would only use basic stuff, or just not play.

Why do I want to care about keeping a gun T6 when I am busy trying to keep my entire base from being destroyed every 7 days lol.

If some of the people on this forum had their way we would be back to the days of needing to find a bunch of gun parts, to finally craft a T6 gun, that is 10X worse than a basic bow lel. JK, they would probably want you to have to repair the gun after every shot and have it do zero damage.
