Well since I'm in charge, the solution is degradation.

Every repair makes it a little... Less. Might sound harsh, but purple repairs to blue, etc. Brown repairs to brown. To offset the harshness, reduce the degradation speed.

I think it was like that once, or similar.

That'll allow for the thrill of finding a purple, and the need to keep looking for another one.

...hell if you could make it so that lower level players degrade the items more than experienced players, you'd have a total win.

Hell, a repair skill can offset the penalty.
I like this Idea

na im talking about something like a mutated Feral.
they are bigger , and have bone plate's on them acting like armor , they can jump really high or far, but they will try to avoid light's! like lamp post! not fire! but if in the presents of light they lose there armor!
Yeah the afraid of the light is a main key, either way I’m all for a new scary monster/zombie that only comes out at night.

they would have a "high risk, high reward" value

even though they can jump over 14 blocks high so building won't help

and they are very deadly

they would give around 2000 xp (not including Radioactive version)

Remember the good old days when the hoe could be used to:

1. Stop grass from re-growing around your base edges.

2. Make the original terrain line up better with your built blocks. (will TFP ever fix this bug with original terrain blocks?)

Great videos Lazman and Mech lens! I can't wait to get into later game again. I finally got a bicycle on day 10 I think so now I can scout for a base location.

i got a massive mine of lead under diresville thing is 99% lead. and i mostly dig with dynamite and i think that it my mine may collapses!
Yes, it seems lead mines are very common, also in RWG, not sure whether that is intentional.

Now try the following: Go into one of the POIs directly above your mine and destroy a few blocks. Maybe nothing happens, maybe the house collapses around you. Great fun :smile-new:

Pimps !
After a hundred hours in single player mode, I confirm that alpha 18 is phenomenal. I have tested very different characters and the game is incredibly addictive every time.

But hey, you already knew it...

Since about twenty hours, I play with friends on a server. It is consensual and friendly PVP, but there is a need to progress quickly to be effective. No forge or no workbench after 5 or 6 hours of play? You are dead.

So ... I was wondering if the following would be an issue for gameplay : allow players to spend a skill point to unlock a recipe, at any time. As, for example, in the screenshot below:

Don't beat me if my idea is bull♥♥♥♥: I'm a friendly dead horse.
You mean blow a whole point on a single recipe unlock? That is interesting but I think it would make for a better mod than a change to the base game.

i just find a place and build it up! uses whatever i got around it and add on to it example. i live in one of the old houses in diresvill and i uses the second floor as a trap room but i built on the rooftop and made some sheds up on top for crafting/ forging etc

Some recipe-related skill points (like unlocking the forge) being almost a must grab because you can't find the schematic seems to indicate that it's either a bad idea that they are gated this way in the first place, or that there should be alternative ways to obtain those schematics.
What if traders could teach you some of the more basic schematics? Say each one of the individual traders had different specific knowledge, and you could pay money to learn from them, either with a new dialogue menu option or simply by guaranteeing that the trader will always sell that one schematic in his/her inventory.

This way, depending on the trader that you start next to, your playthrough would be different since you'd be able to focus on something else other than what they teach you (or specialize harder into it since you saved a point).
We might as well just make workstations for sale guaranteed, but jack the price up a bit.

That is awesome. Does that still work? It would be nice alternative to perking in mining.

what still works??

and if there were lead blocks i could rebuild half of diresville with all the lead in that mine!

IF Your talking about dynamite then yes it still works

Hehe yeah I've seen it :) I liked this trailer better than the ones for the new Federation-DLC.
Also; Crusader Kings 3.. Woohoow!

Sorry for my other-games-talk, I still love A18, don't worry!
i got nothing else to play so 7DTD is my game im playing after school and weekends!

On this workbench discussion, would it be possible to make it a permanent item for sale at a trader? In my current game, I went to three different traders looking for one for sale but no luck.
Just a thought.
There is a permanent item for sale in your perk tab :cocksure:
