Error in rwgmixer (posted on bugs forum)

Remnant_business_1 needs to be remnant_business_01 in rwgmixer or it dont spawn and your console full of red lines lol

 
The day 42 horde just hit. (I play 90 minute days, so it's technically day 64.) I only got half of my walls constructed/fortified. I'm very slightly terrified. Lol

EDIT: The horde lasted until almost 2:00 AM in the morning. Many, many cops showed up, as well as ferals and regular zombies. A surprising lack of irradiateds through; I would guess that only 30 made their appearance, most of them spiders. (Gamestage was 133.) I went through all my grenades though, and over 2,000 7.62 ammo. The walls held incredibly well.

I'm getting this AI "bug" a lot; some of the zombies just gathering in a corner and mingling there harmlessly when I'm standing in a corner. Does anyone else experience this? :p It's rather odd...

We don't need to advertise experimental. People treat it like a stable release as it is.
Wait, the lack of Steam announcements is on purpose?

You're announcing every build release on the 7DtD Twitter feed. You timed the streamer event, the merchandise sale, and the rest of the hype train to peak on Experimental's release. You are advertising Experimental.

I find it bizarre to skip the Steam announcements. It's not consistent, and in my view it's why users are coming to the Steam forum every day confused about whether A18 is 'out' or not.

 
So, I changed my keybinds for "next slot" "previous slot" under controls trying to remove them from the scroll mouse wheel but Scroll wheel still works for that. Any plans to fix this? I greatly prefer to have nothing on the scroll mouse because I use it to reload in most games and accidentally moving the wheel changes my hotbar selection.
Also when Aiming down sight, after the first shot (hunting rifle) it locks me in to ADS mode, any plans to add an option to manually control when you ADS? It's been awhile but I believe it used to only lock you in to ADS when you quick tap RMB. That was so much better
Posted this a few pages back, anybody know if the getting locked into ADS mode is intended, or am I the only one getting it?

Just trying to figure out whats up with these two issues I am having.

Apologies for double posting but I think I got lost in the new experimental hype back there.

Ranged attacks defaulting to bashing damage, which caused huge ragdolls
Noooo...those were so fumy....and fun :'( .

You can get good air on a zombie, if you drive uphill and hit one on the summit....Some reason, perhaps because you get half under them, I can probably get one to hit the ceiling still.

Something that's been bothering me, under the agility tree / pistol spec, it says it gives the bonuses to pistols and smgs, but down the perk it just says "with pistols", and it only unlocks pistol crafting... the stats do apply to both smg and pistol, right?

Pistols and SMG's are under the same category in A18, so yes, pistols covers SMG's. (:

 
After playing A18 for a while now, I have been wishing for a special slot in my toolbar to be fists only. The only thing allowed in it would be knuckles.

I know that essentially keeping one spot open is the same thing, but for some reason I keep thinking this would be easier. I believe this strikes my mind most when it's early game and you are using basically any weapon you can get your hands on and you keep your tool bar loaded with these plus your bandages. Some things you can use to gather, but with a lot of things now you can't... for example spears and clubs (both things you would have on your first days) do not harvest much. Oddly you can harvest aloe and yucca, but not grass and plants like cotton, goldenrod, chrysanthemum and other things. I actually reported that as a bug since madmole said we should be able to harvest with these things, but the response was that the devs say it's an intended feature now.

I dunno... just wishing for a fists only slot.

Yup yup and the line between machine pistols and SMGs is......blurry lol. So the SMG is schrodinger's pitol. It both is and is not a pistol until fired :p .

 
Occlusion...working not working...no idea. if anyone knows how to properly test this and feels like teaching me please shoot me a pm, would love to learn.

It depends. A near building is just made up of blocks, which could be in 1 or more chunks. Chunks are occluded individually, not as a whole building. Distant POIs are a simplifed version of a POI and not made of chunks. They are not occluded.

If they are harmless, is there any way to hide them from the console (just write them in the log only like some other stuff is?)
Not the biggest prio, but saves a lot of known issue reports you need to answer :)
We don't write them. Unity outputs them.

It would be over already. I died twice but that can happen on a normal game. The first time was against a fatty and I just had no stamina to keep banging with him. The second time I did a night time dig quest for food but it spawns a mini horde when you open the chest. I had planned an escape route but it was too craggy and I got stun locked by a fatty and it was over before I could do anything. I got my stuff back (barely) and out of nowhere I'm getting hit, I spin around and can't see anyone until the vulture hits me again, giving me infection. I smashed him with my knuckles and harvested him. The road had a couple of fatties on it, so I decided to cross the craggy mountains instead and tried to slide down a ledge but it was too steep and I broke my leg.

The sun came up and I got my reward, 10 big health kits. No cooking pot yet, no duct tape, so I hobbled to a nearby hotel in search of a cooking pot. I found one in the first cupboard, so I hobbled back to my roadside sleeping bag, chest and campfire only to realize I had no murky water. So back to the hotel. I started breaking into a room only to see a fatty I didn't want to fight too bad, so I spiked the doorway shut. I don't know if its new but he avoided my spike and tried to make his own hole out. So I shot arrows through the door and punched him after he broke the top block and was working on the bottom block and barely killed him before he broke through. The toilet was empty but I found a wrench!

I harvested a bed for cloth for the duct tape I needed to make a splint and I hobbled back to base, made the splint (after 30 minutes of a broken leg) and have about 16% of a splinted leg to go. I'm infected so I think I'm just going to drink my mega crush and hit the road hoping to find forest and search for honey. At this moment I'm thinking tree stumps in every damn biome would be a great idea.

I did find some brass knuckles in a gun safe at a ranger station at the end of day 1, so that helped since I'm planning fortitude for this nightmare test. It sure makes you play a lot more cautious since you can't outrun them, its a fight to the death in most scenarios. I'm carrying spikes around just in case to try and kite them around a bit but haven't been able to use them yet, its been one on one to the death in most fights and I manage to get arrows off. Not sure what everyone is on about, I have 100+ arrows already on day 2 but I use my fists for most fights.

It makes you think twice about how you play. A couple zombies on the road is something to fear early game for sure now. Nightmare mode is pretty intense but I like it.

 
When testing if you don't have a number pad on your keyboard. What is the command to get the zombies health up to see what it is when testing weapons out? When it shows all the stats above their head, I hope there is another way. I know you're supposed to put 0 but my zero above the I&O doesn't work.
Keypad 0 is the only way.
