About the FPS - Drop's:I figuret out that it occurs if i let the

3th Forge melting/producing something.

If there are only 2 Forge's in use

there is no problem and anything works fine.

If i start the 3th Forge then the FPS

goes down to 5.

The Forge's are melting and producing

but it does not matter.

I testet all; only melting, only producing

1 melting 2 producing and so on.

Maybe it helps to find a solution
my game is running super silky on mid settings just like A17!

This might be true, but if I already have a purple by the time I have the parts and skill points to craft the blue, I personally would never craft the blue.....UNLESS, the blue will sell for more dukes then the parts themselves.
Now if loot is balanced so that purple's become really rare and most wont have them by the time an average player has the skill/parts to craft, then crafting will become more desirable.
A blue will sell for more than the parts. Its a of balance and luck. I expect people will craft some gear and find the rest, it depends on how lucky you are finding what you are after once its balanced a bit better. Depends on play style too.

@faatal
I seen you say you do not recall your GTX 960 dipping in FPS....I have a GTX 960 4GB please do not think this card is ok its not. I would love to visit the snow biome some time but its unplayable at the moment.

Frame rates in all biomes have a look see, forgot to take a snapshot of wasteland.

but it dose kinda slow down in the desert and snowly area!

Tbh I wouldnt mind having a seperate skill tree for crafting. Sounds like a reasonable idea.Wasnt it like that before though? The int tree had all the crafting stuff?
The Int attribute does have all the general crafting stuff.

Craft concrete, iron or steel cheaper than anyone else, build all the workstations, traps...

In my A18 games so far, I have not been able to find an incentive to craft guns, tools, etc related to my spec. If I am a perception build, wanting to be able to craft a steel spear, I do quests and a lot of looting of various POI's to find the parts that I need. In each game so far, I end up looting a tier 5 or 6 spear before I have the chance to find enough parts to actually craft one. So I am either super lucky or maybe the loot is turned up a little bit too much? !
Ditto. I haven't crafted a single weapon or gun. I'm still saving and building up a stockpile of parts tho just in case I ever feel the urge to craft something just for the hell of it. :p

Purples are not awesome because of the stats. Purples are awesome because of the extra mod slot. Would you be cool if player crafted purples had better stats than blues but were missing the extra mod slot?
Hmmm, good question. Probably not... personally, I'd like crafted items to be closer to top tier items, given the investment in skill points and resources, than blue items. I do think the stats player a bigger role in the items power than you're giving it credit for though. I've seen items of the same tier with pretty decent differences in stats... to me that is a sufficient difference between crafted and looted items.

Some biomes will decrease FPS more than others, since they drawn different things, but none of them should be drastically worse.
I agree, which is why this drop from 50 to 20 fps going from Forest to Snow is so vexing. There is nothing going on in the game, hardly anything being drawn except ground and bushes. This is on a rx480 GB which performance is between an GTX1060 and 1070. It shouldn't be doing this :(

I'm trying to see if any our testers have biomes that drop FPS a lot, so I can determine what GPUs have the problem. My RTX 2070 seemed fine. The AMD HD 5770 is slow on everything (in editor), so I need to check that one in a build. The GTX 960 is no longer in my computer, but don't recall it being too bad.
Let me know if you need any more testing from me. Happy to help.

P.S. My RX480 is way faster than that GTX960, so if that one really did have no drop in the snow biome, then something really funky is going on.

Also please keep in mind, that the issue might still be affecting current high end gear, but not being noticed because the fps is already high enough (or capped at 60FPS with vsync).

I think he thinks that this is an "average" forum. HAHAHA poor little thing he doesn't know what's coming. Snowdog take it away!
Poor guy.

Maybe we should warm him up first? I throw rocks at him, and you curse him in Spanish!

I dont have the numbers in front of me.... but if you have to scrap 3 oranges to get the parts for 1 blue, would you have been better off selling the 3 oranges or crafting and selling the blue?

Yeah I knew that. I was replying to another post. I think what they were talking about is having all crafting under a separate tree maybe?

Thought it was interesting and needed some further discussion and explanation.

The idea is to get him on a mic so he's more clear. We've also suggested blue yetis.
The mic on these is solid. I spent 2+ hours per day on conference calls.

another option that a lot of Video bloggers do is separate mic. so you can use headsets like I use and a separate mic.

like the "FIFINE USB Microphone, Plug and Play Home Studio USB Condenser Microphone for Skype, Recordings for YouTube, Google Voice Search, Games-Windows or Mac-K668 "

and a boom like "Eastshining Upgraded Adjustable Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm Stand with Shock Mount Mic Clip Holder 3/8'' to 5/8'' Screw Adapter -for Blue Yeti, Snowball & Other"

together for $40 and $20 for the headset

That changed in the last patch.

But I suck because I don't use cheese ramps and exploits.
I really hope you're being sarcastic here. Don't listen to those scaredy cats! ;) (Just saying.)

But no one expects you do to a LP. I'm sure you have many more, more important things to do. Lol

The terrain shader is too expensive to calculate all the AF, we're working on it.
