Are you playing Fullscreen? If you are it's your resolution (1366x768). At that resolution you are getting about 51% of the pixels than if you were at 1920x1080.

It is not a bug. It is how the texture budget is setup, so people don't run out of VRAM and their FPS start tanking. Using Unity, we have no control if a texture is in VRAM or not, so we are using conservative settings to try to keep them in VRAM. We are still tweaking settings and making changes. Low res icons and trying compressed splat maps are in the works to further reduce VRAM use, meaning more space for textures. Streaming max level reduction is probably high right now and could be brought down.
These values are going to change from build to build. That is what experimental is for. Sorting it out, so it works on as much hardware as it can.
Gotcha, the inconsistent blurry textures on some objects and not others seemed alittle odd to be intended. Hope it continues to get better.

Yeah we've talked about it, its a bit tricky because the player has such an advantage.
That would be true. If I may inject my opinion, even just 1000 extra HP would make a difference, but not so much of a difference that players would necessarily feel/be invincible. 3,500 HP bars are still 1,500 less than reinforced concrete, and unless I'm mistaken in this part of the sentence, I don't see players using them excessively until during later gamestage horde, when we would really need them. But in between that phase (just regular concrete), then yes I can see some issues. But with steel pretty much locked behind RNG now...

Another suggestion I have is some sort of reinforced concrete block variant/design that has a rim but a large hole in the center that we can shoot through. Besides iron bars, and again unless I'm mistaken, we're somewhat lacking a "solid" block that we can shoot through while still having a good angle on the zombies. Arrow slits are great and all, except you can't see through them. Lol. (But then again, they would look ugly as heck.)

Again, just tossing ideas. :) Whatever you all decide... In Pimps We Trust. :)

I can't wear headphones for a hundred hours, my ears hot flash and I feel miserable for about 2-3 hours afterwards unless I don't record any vo, but that isn't very fun to watch. I need some ac headphones lol.
Been telling you, the hp omen mindframes are cooled...

Only a couple of hundred.

Scratch that, an even hundy at Best buy.

...take the hellcat for a quick drive over, and try them out.

Anyone else running 1440p 144hz with good results? I only ask cuz most of the post are negative regarding fps.

Running 1070ti

I7 7700k

16gig ram

Game on ssd

No issues inside 70-100 fps

In town or on motorcycle 50-60

Staring into distant terrain 35

Everything max accept shadows med and shadow dist medium

@ Faatal / madmole.
I made a quick 1.5 min video highlighting the severe fps difference between the snow biome and the forest biome. Please have a look so you'll know what i've been talking about. :) FPS is shown both by the ingame F8 counter as well as steams own internal counter which is shown at the topleft. (due to video compression, that one is more easy to make out)

Mine is very similar. I'll try to do a video as well for comparison.

All the previous experimental ones I played with this same configuration and without problems, the textures looked very good, the video looks bad just use the w10 program to record it because I have no other, but if you see well, the floor textures are good but at a distance they look weird, they look without loads of textures

Air drops to be no longer some mystery. Locate and repair a radio tower in each biome. After they are complete, the air drops come.
I love this idea, airdrops always seemed like 'easy mode', which is a shame because the idea is great, it just needs more some attention to detail in order to 'balance' it out a little.
