Maybe a dumb question, will those commands carry over to normal A18.0 release?It would be great to be able to diagnose performance bottlenecks to maybe get a clue on what to do about them.

Currently (A14-A17.4) there is times when performance drops and no clear indication on why (plenty of free ram & Vram, no fully loaded cpucores and gpu is not stressed either (and no/low diskaccess too)

I have suspected this is some Unity issue for all years and it would be awesome to see just where the problem comes from.

Added gfx af console command (anisotropic filtering off, on or force on).

 
So with the new Zombie Aggro system is there a way to make it more bearable like a book you read or a skill or something? Because joining in to a fresh world trying to start out and having every single zombie aggro is absolutely horrid. New players are going to have a hard time even getting started because of this stupid mechanic.

 
That was the idea. I figured brawlers are going to get hit a lot so I made it more viable with this design.
iv always wondered about the infection?

is it like infection that turns people into zombies???

or is it just a wound that got infected???

ik its sounds dumb but these are the things i think about. lol

 
Is there an ingame command to disable AF ?With my Radeon there seems to be no option in the graphic card itself:(

We will probably be reducing AF with texture quality level. Need to test looks vs performance.

 
If you don't have any first aid kits at all, then I'd go for those. If you can craft them or have some already, I'd take whatever sells for most and sell it on the spot. I'd go all in on fortitude and only use that 25% strength for mining and possibly cooking depending how your schematic hunting is going.
Alright, thanks for the tips. Ironically, after I accepted the first aid kits and left the trader (by the way, I had 5 back at home), I found the first aid kit schematic in an air drop that dropped. Ehh, what's done is done. I won't be specializing too much into shotguns anyway, if at all.

That's exactly what I'm doing. (: I have 3/5 of Sex Rex, Miner 69er, and Mother Lode, and that's where I'm staying in terms of Strength, I think. The rest is going into Fortitude.

 
also when bandits come out.

will there be bandit and white river zombies???

For the record, you can't set off grenades by shooting them.

when i threw one at a spider zombie.

he just stood up and walk in a limp!

but the cheeky bastard kept on hopping to me

They explode anyway, why would we need to shoot at them.

Oh, throw one in the air and shoot at it before explodes or makes it to the ground, that could be fun !

 
Quick question: Do fortitude points reduce the chance of dysentery, or just the iron stomach perk?

Just iron gut. Coffee, teas, etc have 0 chance for it. In the patch vitamins will protect against it too.

Request for clarification: More so for Multiplayer, is it

A. "Once you punch them in the face that particular zombies ability to infect is removed" (ie., it only has gums left)

or

B. "Once you punch them in the face that particular zombies ability to infect you is removed" (ie., your team mates are still in trouble)
That zombie cannot infect anyone.

Everything TFP do lately is major. I guess anything you do from now on would feel more like Staff Sergeant stuff compared to a17 hell.
I suppose our version of major changes and what players think is a major change are two different things so take my words with a grain of salt :D

 
You've evolved, I remember for A15 I asked you a couple of questions and you basically spitted on my face, now you're much better in that aspect, it's not common to find developers who interact with their community "doors closed", and not for the publicity or fame.
Sorry if I was a jerk. Some times I role play as a survivor on these forums and give people the harsh truth like "get off your ass and find one" and I disagree about some features they want and probably say no in an overbearing way to some things that seem ridiculous to me, but maybe I was protective of what I wanted the game to be, which I think people do like now that it is finally here in A18.

Can the AF be a slider / option in GPU options ?

I hate to think that this game gets its graphical finesse castrated, it took a long time to get looking this good in the first place.

Unless you mean it be part of the texture selector ?

 
Just discovered that the new drawbridge is not flush with whatever it's attached to. Driving over it from one side with a vehicle damages the drawbridge. I really hope this gets addressed. The A17 drawbridge did not have this issue.
Ok I play legit and haven't unlocked one yet, but didn't notice any issues when testing them out. I'm trying to build your base lol but wow so much more work than my standard 9x9 setup. We might have to do a wipe which sucks, but maybe I'll do a 9x9 and extend one side later to have the nice drive in garage like you had for easy unloading of loot.

Anyhow I'll make sure that gets fixed, I've been dreaming of a power draw bridge access to my base for quite some time now ;)

You could make a craftable safe-space, that renames the ability.
