Hey is it planned to give the books a indication when you allready have read them?
There is an icon change in the upper corner, albeit subtle so I can see how peeps could miss it. I've noticed, and either sell or keep my already-reads in a bookshelf in case any of my friends join my game. But I saw someone post that it would actually let you read it again, thus wasting it. It would be nice if they fixed that, I hope it doesn't happen with schematics too. If so it should be fixed as well. I'm guessing either remove the "read" option altogether, or just have it not happen, something. But it would be nice if it couldn't get wasted like that(if it's true, I have not myself reread anything), they're too rare and valuable.

One jumped at me and I smashed his leg off mid-air with the sledgehammer.

He stood back up and just continued to attack me, lol.

Nearly killed me too.

You guys made zombies get stunned for quite a lot of time, and even while standing.
So, funny story:

1. Be me

2. Build Agility/Sealth Char

3. Staby saby the last zombie from a small walking horde(while having 3HP left).

4. See zombie stuttering (like it died and is about to fall over)

5. Say PHEW! Last one, OOH LOOT BAG!!!!

5. Go to a lootbag dropped by a zombie near the zombie that you think it died

6. Zombie that I thought i died: PSYKE! FOOLED YA! *bitchslaps me once*

Idk if bug or funny story, but it sure is a funny story :D

i'm a only child and i just got a Pc and a Xbox. but thx for understanding.
also i only uses my PC to play a few games. 7dtd is one of them

We're experimenting with full swings, but it might be OP af with glancing blows allowing you to bowl over 3+ guys with a sloppy attack.
Make it so a sloppy attack could never set off the hurt animation on Z's. So if you it them wrong, you'll stop only the zed on the crosshair, and the rest will take a little bit of damage.

you did a nice new alpha ;) i was playing this since release on monday and i had a lot of fun. im loving this great sledgehammer to knocking down all zombies.i think i found a little bug in the description from pumple pete at lvl 2-5. At lvl 1 you get 10% bonus dmg but from lvl 2 till 5 there is no bonus dmg in the description.i looked into the progression.xml and saw, that you get 20% bonus dmg at lvl 2, 30% at lvl 3 and so on.

Ah, well yeah I imagine adding bones/animations is a tall order, especially since it would be for every lootable. Maybe try a different approach: just swap the models. Imagine they're both loaded well enough, would that not work, seems worth a try.
It's rather silly that I can't just close the door of an open cabinet, plus one should be able to make use of it regardless of door status. I get why you guys added the open stuff in the first place, it sure saves time while looting to just see that and skip'm.

The idea of raiding someone (which is not a thing in games I play, even MP games, but I get it) and doing that sounds fun, but would be a rare occurrence at best. Having the wherewithal to plan what that takes ahead of time is some next level trolling, the time/effort to craft open cabinets and dedicate a precious inventory slot, and so on. Thing is, if you got the models to simply swap, or whatever ended up working, you could still get that effect by simply emptying the cabinets. It would sure occur far more often regarding raids, as it would be a natural result.

Challenge for someone at TFP: try it. Try the straight model swap and see how it feels.

It would be super neat imho, in the situation you described and more. Especially in MP games where multliple people are looting. You could peer in a room and immediately tell if in has been looted yet or not, at least with the cabinets and other lootables with open versions. It would also be another time saver in SP games, making it obvious what you'd already looted, as it is now, in both situations, a looted cabinet(etc) looks the same even when it is empty.
If you look at the model of the cupboard the door is hanging. Bust it out and make a new one because its rekt. Its probably an oversight that the busted cabinet is in that menu.

 
on the weekend they were arguably op. Mainly the rof was high enough to reliably stun-lock everything.
Now... A turret may solo kill a small zombie most of the time but it will at best slow down 2 or 3 that are charging you.

The turret perk changes all that. If you're serious about turrets they become proper badasses, just like every other weapon type.

You dont waste already read books, you get skillpoints instead (afaik).

I just counted and in my popup menu there are 6 open models: 4 cabinets, the wooden desk, and a single face of one cabinet(no box/body). Aside from elaborate trolling I've no idea who would ever use any of those deliberately. None of the cabinets have doors hanging off, only the oddball out single cabinet face has that.

Still think you should try the model swap and see how it feels. Doing it for everything might be complicated right now, so could go on your future alpha list, especially if new models and art would be needed. But the main basic cabinets could be tried now from the looks of it.

Only cheat menu helms are missing lights, the ones found in the game get a light equipped.
It seems like mining helmets sold by traders don't have the light mod. It doesn't have the mod icon, anyway, and I don't want to waste the dukes testing it. :)

They do have the light mod. ;) I bought a level 1 mining helmet at the trader for 400 dukes and it had a helmet light mod in it. ;)

I've been highly critical in the past regarding the development arc of 7Days with A17 being a low point (i stopped playing months ago). A18* is a cracking return to form and a massive improvement, it can't be stated enough. The fun is back for sure and the team have done a fantastic job!

*Performance issues are clearly being dealt as a priority so all good

Of course **** up A19 and i'll be back to moan again :D
