I have a question is the ability to smelt dukes staying in 7dtd because some of the time I can get brass shortages not often but some of the time and the ability to smelt a bit of money is very nice

Windows updated? Open GL? Windowed mode? 30% free hard drive space? Drivers up to date? I don't know any more commands. Check reddit to see if they have discovered anything. Might have to wait or deal with crap performance until we get an update out.
I'm fine with waiting, am just looking to help narrow this problem down since there doesn't seem to be a solid lead yet.

i uses the money to make the ammo for blood money!

Think i am just going to wait until this game is 100% completed. Got top of the range PC that can play everything on max but this game everything on low and have at to turn my computer off 5 times from the power button because its crashing it that much. Great game but this is not worth braking my PC over

I hope that is true! The game hasn't been like that in awhile. Either way, if that is the goal for how you want the game to be - then it's a good goal to have.
Yes we want new players to have some success, get some gear and feel like they have some balls, then cut them off, repeat several times.

For A19 do u plan to remove vehicle crafting perks. I will never perk into them so long as there is schematics, it would be cool to have something else in intellect instead, as a replacement
i think intellect should be used to make/unlock very special stuff like a rail-gun , thermite and others , better forges generators etc , making AND being a leader of a community of NPCs(idk about that one tho) making vehicles, Etc

its also survival of the smartest!

I haven't changed tactics yet from A17, straight into some POIs to loot. The rage chance has been fun to deal with, but finding 3 AK47s on day 1 has been a wonderful boost.

Question: Are vitamins supposed to prevent dysentery? If they are, I was able to get it drinking murky water after consuming vitamins. If not, perhaps the description on the vitamins should be updated to make that clear.
In my game the vitamin description says nothing about dysentery.

So far loving A18. I spawned in snow in Nav, died more times trying to reach the forest then I died total in A17. That to me spells awesome. It's a challenge again!

We haven't got too far into yet, but so far liking everything, or almost.

One thing I am not entirely sure about is the animations for power attacks, not just with the sledgehammer. Even with batons and such. It feels unpowerful, stopping halfway or something. There is no follow through and it's wierd.

yeah im only spawning in the desert lol

but i love it too thx pimps of the fun!

I honestly don't think this is intended. You guys went to so much trouble and hard work making sure this would be a relatively smooth launch, because of what happened with a17, and when you look at the steam forums, this forum, and twitch, people are talking about the bad performance. (On the flip side, that seems to be about the only bad part of this release, so kudos for that :) )

As far as this being an experimental to an early access game, yes that is true. But public perception being what it is, the real worlkd doesnt work that way. First impressions matter, no matter if it's experimental. That type of information just gets lost in the noise.

Hope you guys prepare a better launch for A19/Gold. :)
1. I am pretty confident that TFP did not INTEND for ANYONE to have any issues.

2. First impressions? For who? How many new 7D2D gamers have just started on A18? (Cuz A17 was a perfect rollout...)

3. Early Access Description disclaimers matter, too. Have you read the disclaimer?

https://store.steampowered.com/earlyaccessfaq/?snr=1_200_200_Early+Access

"Help TEST and REPORT BUGS"

4. How often do you check this forum? Did you see how many time people were 'posting' (actually 'strongly insisting' might be more accurate), that it needed to be released even sooner? (Just read CannedSmeef posts for instance.)

TFP can't win.

5. How much due diligence should users be expected to use? (for the thousands of various configurations...)

A. Updated drivers? (video, OS, chip, background hardware, etc.)

B. Cleaned up HD, adware, bloatware, TSR's, conflicting DLL's, removed unnecessary programs, etc.?

C. Tried to play the game in VANILLA mode for a few hours before adding ANY mods?

If anything, maybe more people are learning what 'Early Access' means, and adjusting perceptions and expectations.

And, there does seem to be quite a few people people trying to help out.

And, there does seem to be quite a few people who are doing just fine.

(I, myself, have 'half a potato', and fully understand why I am only getting 30-40 FPS at most times. And I will be fixing that with a new system soon!)

Agreed, do regular attack animations seem normal to you?

if you aggro a zombie at night it will keep running when its daytime. Is it a bug or works as intended?
It was probably a feral or a regular zombie in rage mode which lasts 4-10 seconds.

I'm just going to leave this here. Some of streamers i've watched have said performance was negatively impacted by b139 when compared to B134. Hopefully this helps you narrow it down, TFP.

Below is a post of one of them.

I run a full solid 60 fps without stuttering at all, but my gpu usage sits at 100 percent at 4k and at 1080 p. there is a major memory use issue with the textures, its gotta be the reason for all this trouble. I'd simply wait for an update at this point. game ran fine on the builgs before 139
Emphasis mine.

i also have quite big fps problems in my laptop if i try to play on ultra settings, changing most video settings dont seem to affect fps much, but setting texture quality from full to half gives me 30 extra fps for a total of very playable 45. Fps does go haywire and can jump 20-45 easily.

CPU i74710HQ

GPU Nvidia gtx980M

RAM 24GB ddr3

@joel

do you think there will be a zombie to come out only at night and is very deadly and will there be sub types of zombies? (on a later alpha of course)

The regular attack seems fine to me honestly. But that power attack should really arc and swing imo. Follow through hard.

Lol here I'm making the motions with my arms like y'all can see haha. It's hard to explain in words what I mean.

To the fun pimps, The Fun Pimp, and the rest of the crew, here is a couple guys sharing my expectation, lurking in the forums, and finally getting to check out A18....

Disclaimer: Video link, still not related to the game itself, only my feelings about it.
