Heck even after the Version gets released I have to wait on my server host to update their version and then wait for the server to update itself, and pray that it goes without a major hiccup. Gonna be a long day.

I'm all for testing it and agree with that.
But with that said just based on what was shown in stream one turret did take out a wondering horde by it self.

The ammo for them are very cheap to make. And the turret being used could hold 75.

When holding it the durability went down every 2 or 3 shots but when placed on ground it didn't go down at all.

So based on what was seen and what the streamer was saying it does seem like it does need balancing done. If one can take out a wondering horde imagine what 2 can do. On top of that place 2 down and they don't lose durability (and this could be a bug idk) is a little OP. I do want to play with them myself to see my actually reaction to them so don't get me wrong on that part. I'm also not saying they are extremely OP because they do have limits just sayin based on what has been shown off they seem to need a little balancing done. Still think with a red light on them and them being auto they need at least a battery on them imo.
Place a turret at say, in the street of a front door. Break open front door. Run through floor like a madman waking the sleepers. Exit behind the turret. As the zeds come out one by one, the turret shoots, making them stagger (Important), which keeps them within the door frame, while you're also firing or hitting or whatever from off to the side (dunno if turrets can hit their player). The bottleneck will make it easy.

Place a turret facing one of those mined army camps. Run around waking the sleepers, stand behind the turret. Between the turret and mines you shouldn't have much trouble.

Now, multiply both scenarios by the number of people on the server.

...don't need to play the game to see the possibilities, and the turret already seems gated far enough back in intellect that it *appears* tfp does as well, so finding so many in loot is likely unintended, especially since non int people can use them.

So either scale the loot of them back (why would there be so many of these lying around anyway?) or make it so that non int people don't have the intelligence to know how to use them.

You thought we wouldn't hit 2000 pages before release? :-)

If tradition holds at some point in the next several hours there should be so many people refreshing the forum that we either break it or kick in the DDoS protection... happens every time!

 
I work from home, so I can download it while working, then have it start generating worlds.

After seeing SylenThunders post about how long to make a 16k world, won't be doing that yet. (9 hrs)

(maybe start it before bed though) :)
