A19 Patch notes

- Vultures removed from game.
Na any other build I just spray them with whatever hose gun I have. Ak, m60, smg, shotgun all pretty much swat them like flies. They never did much damage to me, its just more of a PITA than anything. Those little barred window flaps were nice, gave me some cover :)

Zombies when damaged have a chance based on difficulty to get a move speed boost for 410 seconds

you mean more than 5 minutes? might as well just change him to feral.

 
This is very very exciting, I REALLY like the variations to the zombie AI and how some will beat down your defenses while others run by to the pathway at like 3:44-3:50

What does this mean? Is paint currently "free"? It now costs 1 paint per face to paint instead of two. *Note it is currently broken and costs 0 paint

its not, that was a note for testers at the time. Its 1 paint per face.

You know what we could have? A flamethrower. It'd be excellent for crowd-control and could stick to zombies/entities in general.

 
I usually enjoy sniper builds in most games, yet was unsure as to how viable a solo sniper will be on late-game horde nights.

seeing this video makes me more confidant that with a decent base design and preparation it can go as well as any other build.

it seems really fun. cant wait to try it out. :)

I previously said that a melee option would be nice for guns, as to smack 'em out of your face before taking a shot. This is probably clunky for controls though. However, a different thing that would be nice is if vultures were particularly vulnerable to machetes so you could switch to machete and slice through the thick, feathery jungle with some haste.

I just feel like something is missing. There should be some way available to combat a swarm of birds in your face like that.

From your latest videos I think most will agree current AI has reached an important milestone.

I think the lesson learned here was that no single AI behavior will suffice, once learned it can be predicted and exploited.

while it will surly be enhanced and improved even more until gold, atm AI finally seems to give u a good random mix/balance of different flavors both for diff zombie types and even for each zombie.

I love this approach.

Ok thats a bit easier. Although I kinda like the idea of a random 5 minutes of Feral Running speed on zeds. Means occasionally once you attack a zed you are in for a penny, in for a pound.

I have a few questions about the role and consistency of the crossbows in-game:

(crossbow vs bow, sledgehammer vs clubs)

1. are crossbows governed by the same Agility perks as bows?

(Sledgehammer for example have their own perks under strength)

2. since bows now have 3 tiers and exploding arrows, I wonder, what purpose does the 2 crossbow tiers serve? a slower reloading faster shooting variant of a bow (similar to sledgehammer vs clubs)?

does it do more dmg?

3. why does it use a diff ammo type? in prev alphas I usually avoided investing in crossbows if i already found a good bow. with sledgehammer and clubs u can take both and use what u prefer taking only 2 inv slots.

with a crossbow and a bow it takes at least 4 slots to allow the same freedom of choice.
