Oct 7th? Hope we don't have too many hot fixes that require restarting after the first few days, always get comfy after day 4.
Soon....ish.
We haven't broke save games in ages, so unless its RWG changes you want I doubt a new game will be needed. Of course they will say you need to, but very few things have broken saves in months now.

 
I'm not questioning your parenting style here (you do you), I'm just giving out my subjective opinion. My opinion is that minors shouldn't have access to any kind of technology, period. Video games are alright beyond a certain age (post 7-8, I would say; and no giving kids games that are rated T for Teen for 17/18+! *Smh at too many examples of this happening*), but when it comes to the Internet or owning the phone, I personally believe that youth should have to buy their own tech with their own money post 16 years of age and once they have a job. Internet access should be allowed at roughly that same time. Again, just my opinion.
Oh, my kid "buys" screen time by either being outside or reading.

Being in a thread with more than 27,000 posts is like how it was being 27,000 blocks away from 0,0 back in Alpha 10: Shakey, jarring, and everything seems out of context....

Might get old. Its fine no need to scream to run faster. Its not like they steam roll you, its just enough to be uncomfortable here and there.

 
My argument is: Why not let the player decide what is fun for them by adding a new mechanic without completely removing the option for the old one? I am not saying that we SHOULDN'T have experience point loss on death, nor that we absolutely SHOULD have the Death Penalty. Give us the option to choose one, both, or neither. That way everyone can play the way they like. (I for one would probably play with both on, for instance)
While you're at it give us an option to lose a level (and the associated perk point) when we drop below the XP necessary for the current level, and a sliding scale of just how much XP we lose per death. And how long the Death Penalty lasts.

Let us sculpt our own experience.
We call that "kitchen sinked up". When people talk about the death penalty we don't want it to be a multiple choice answer. We're trying something new this alpha, might be something old/new/same next alpha.

 
A man with your talent would be better served on the PVP side of this game. Im not going lie our server uses one of your mods and wish you would make more for the PVP community. That being said dont fool yourself thinking no one cares about pvp in this game.
I will take care of you guys soon enough. The core game is getting great and I will turn to pvp balance at some point.

 
I know, poor MM is having to scrounge by on foodstamps.....I can assure you, MM and company are doing JUST fine. I have a very successful business as well so I am no opposed to money. What I am opposed to is this update being about 6x longer than it was ever planned to be and then they still release it to streamers first. A17 was pretty much unplayable so most people have been really waiting since A16, almost 2.5 years ago for a real update.
I'd eat food stamps but they don't taste good or have any protein and stick to my mustache.

I'm digging the new idea; I was also discussing this with some of my homies from down da way and it was mentioned that instead of a death penalty, that a life benefit would be kinda cool... (haidr'gna)... so I was trying to think of some "days alive" benefits (aurelius) would be fun as well... nothing big or game changing, just a nice little "hey, you lived for a while, here's something cool"

...each day alive could add 1% to health regen speed, or slightly increase lucky looter, maybe less food usage... a perk for a perk so to speak... that way you're not just benefiting from perks but also for consecutive days alive.

 
What do you mean, free time. Got to stuff some book writing-, screen writing- and acting-lessons in there. There is gonna be a movie, right?
We talked to a studio about a series but they wanted to twist it into something it wasn't to be different from TWD and it was some corny ♥♥♥♥. I get it, you can't make a TWD clone, but at the same time you can't be nothing like the video game.

then 2 weeks later i have a week whitebaiting west coast south island. prob only kiwis know the scale of awesomeness there...

if a group dug in and made traps, or industrial scale zombie mincers capable of taking care of thousands at a time, burning the remains in a cogen plant to fuel the next wave....

I never played A10, what happened when you were so far away? Was it kinda like the far lands in Minecraft?
