?? What are you talking about, from my very first post I've been sarcastic and calling people who watch streams kids? Haven't you actually LOOKED at my posts? Trust me, you haven't if you made that post. That's ok, I've said my piece for this Alpha when it happened as I have in the past and I am sure I will say it again in the future when it happens again in another 18 months.
I have no issues with streamers streaming the game, so what. The issue is the false hype they are creating. Those aren't unique people watching those streams. It is all the kids that want to play but can't that are flocking to those streams to get some crumbs of things that are new. No one can tell me that it isn't ready for mass release when streamers get it because why would you want to show game breaking bugs to the handful of streamers that are streaming it?
I get it, its the same handful of loyalist or new players that defend the practice of releasing to the streamers first. No argument will sway you. Heck I get called a child and entitled and that person doesn't get an infraction but I call streamers children and entitled and I get an infraction. Hypocritical? Yes. Will it change? It hasn't in years.
How do you know that person didn't get an infraction? Nobody knew YOU got an infraction until you outed yourself. Infractions are private and not advertised on the forum and it is in fact against forum rules to even do so because all an infraction is is an invitation to change your tone and your behavior. There is no punishment attached to it and it is completely private.
Now since you are making this public I will say to all what I said to you privately which is this:
TFP is supportive and encouraging of our partners who stream 7 Days to Die. We know many of them are loyal fans and good members of this forum community. Publicly insulting them is not a welcome form of communication and railing against an officially adopted program is something to be done elsewhere and not here.
My younger sister attends said school now. Cell phones are banned, they've gotten rid of the computer room in favor of textbooks that are several decades out of date. It's just sad. A lot of people today believe (particularly older generations; no offense, but people of my generation, 25-ish and below, grew up with technology, so naturally, many more of us would be accepting of it) that technology has "invaded our day to day lives" and that it "must be pushed back" and that teaching youth about our technological future/present will harm their learning. But not preparing them for this brave new world is doing just that. *Slaps forehead*
I dont think the ability to use chat programs and download casual games on a phone teaches anything on technology, other than using a contemporary device and software (like using a TV remote control, does not make one understand TV technology)
When I see the youth, I mostly see them using tablets and phones as pure consumer devices, and not so much PCs/Laptops (wich can be used to actually work on creating things)

Your first post on the topic is below. Before that your last post was 4 days ago so yes, what Amaranth said was perfectly accurate.
"To watch OTHERS play the game to drive hype for more sales. WOOHOO so excited....j/k I'm not, kids want to watch people play games. If it is ready for STREAMERS it is ready for the masses to play on experimental. "

Very true. Years ago in my old school, in the tech lab, they'd teach students on how to create their own websites, etc. You know, entrepreneurial "crafts". Just my opinion, but it's unfortunate to see those programs go. (Well, "have gone".)
Bench press is overrated and nearly useless for developing chest mass because the fibers run sideways, so pressing movements don't use a whole lot of your chest muscles, more triceps and shoulders. Flies are the best for chest.
My bench sucks (I have fairly long arms 76" reach) the best I've done is 240x10 which equates to 320 1 rep max. I've had elbow and shoulder injuries so currently I'm only benching 210x10.
I can seated dip 325x10 though, triceps are strong af.
Agreed bench press sucks. Having your hands locked to the bar prevents any rotational adjustment at the shoulder increasing the risk of injury IMHO. I'd much rather do dumbbells (110's for 6 is my best) Seems like there's a general attitude that it's a lesser lift than bar bell press (not manly enough maybe) but it's definitely a different lifting experience needing to balance that weight individually in each hand. You also have to maintain better form and control the weight a lot more going down than some of those you see bouncing the bar off their chest lol.
You should realize that A18 builds off of A17 and improves it but if you full out hated A17 then I can't see you falling in love with A18 especially if your hatred of A17 had anything to do with a lack of LBD, spending perk points earned by doing one thing on some other totally unrelated thing, "smart" AI, slow progression, perks you want being spread across different attributes, digging zombies, and lots of dungeon POI's. Those things are still present in A18. What A18 really does well is balance the xp gains better, gives greater incentives for looting and exploring, and offers five truly asymmetrical specialized builds that have advantages and disadvantages to their gameplay. Also A18 has better RWG.
I fully expect the same people who hated A17 to whine about several aspects* of A18 and many A17 haters I suspect will whine that it still seems to be "too similar" to that version you labeled as unplayable. But I could be wrong....
Demolisher forces one style of gameplay!!
Still too many sleepers per POI!!
Rage zombies are unfair especially with network issues!!
My favorite perks are spread across four attributes!!
Zombies still dig! Why are you forcing people above ground?!?!
Zombies destroy hatches above ladders now! Why are you forcing people off of their perches?!?!
I can kill zombies and then learn how to craft seeds!?!?!
Where's my hoe? It was my favorite tool in the game and a core tool since Alpha 1!!
Still no LBD!!
It's day 7 and I'm only level 8! A18 just stretches out the early game again!!
Why is the FOV locked!?!?
The good news is that if you liked A17 like I did then you will absolutely adore A18. One oft written remark I read when A17 dropped was that people just wished that TFP would have taken A16 as a base and enhanced that instead of doing the overhaul of A17. Well I am pleased to say that A18 is exactly that in relation to A17. They took the A17 base gameplay and improved and enhanced and added lots of reasons for exploration and fun progression opportunities via all the new books. But A18 is definitely closer to A17 than it is dissimilar at least in my opinion. And thank goodness it is nothing like that mess called A16...
To be fair...that FOV slider is a legitimate request. As I have gotten older, low FOV makes me sick. I love 7 days and I have loved every update. I have been lurking on these forums since 2013. My only gripe? No FOV slider.
I never posted to complain on the forums about it - wouldn't do anything anyway. I just learned how to edit the game .dll files to set the default FOV to 90 instead of having to use a console command every time I booted the game up.
Currently with 1,113 hours of gameplay in it. Which is maybe too much for someone who works as much as I do
Ya know, you patting THEM on the back only encourages more discussion from the other side which just prolongs the argument.
...hell, lbd is back in discussion, because you once again incorrectly validated the idea that lbd was the problem. The problem was lbd allowed XP to be spent outside of the action (crafting stone axes to buy a concrete perk). The problem was NEVER lbd, it was the perk system.
The problem is TFP just don't want to do it that way and yet you continue. I suppose you think you're "helping" them be better, but if a person doesn't like doing something they will usually stop doing it. In this case, making the game.

...so... you think they'll stop making the game? Because of me? I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. =)
Look, all I'm saying is that the best way to drop a discussion, is to actually drop it.

That's so sad. Should have been banning cell phone use entirely, not just a single site visited. Idk how I ever survived a day at school pre cell phone days out of contact! Oh the horror! I know - grumpy old man syndrome... drives me absolutely crazy tho seeing people walking down the street with their heads buried in their phones. Or driving down the road. Or at their child's school play/sporting event etc.
My daughter was doing homework (math), and asked alexa for the answer... we got that sorted, but technology is a crutch. I don't want my kids to know what buttons to press, I want them to understand WHY they're pressing them. Technology does not help in that regard.

I remember pride (I think) was pretty brutal... Loved it. As long as they're a willing participant, fuggit.
Royce ruined the entertainment imo by introducing a superior way of winning.

I'm not questioning your parenting style here (you do you), I'm just giving out my subjective opinion. My opinion is that minors shouldn't have access to any kind of technology, period. Video games are alright beyond a certain age (post 7-8, I would say; and no giving kids games that are rated T for Teen for 17/18+! *Smh at too many examples of this happening*), but when it comes to the Internet or owning the phone, I personally believe that youth should have to buy their own tech with their own money post 16 years of age and once they have a job. (Note: The phone should still 100% belong to the parents.) Internet access should be allowed at roughly that same time. Again, just my opinion.
