I am not too sure if this was asked or not, but will there be a setting in the options added to cap your game at certain frame rates? I think I saw a command for it somewhere on the forum but I am just curious if that will be a feature to the game in alpha 18.

So this weeks pre-A18 discussion is unrealistic tire recipes....A18 needs to come out soon before the forums explodes...lol

We're recording some temp unprofessional stuff for her, so don't judge too harsh.
I was hoping you would have treated her voice like the iconic clown horns for the vehicles and kept it in for the laughs, but, whatever works I guess. :loyal:

Cool, Make her nice though. Not like Rekt. Make her to sexy though and the guys will be humping air outside the counter. Not to many ladies in the wasteland you know.

Is it Rachel (pocketninja) who's doing the trader Jen voice, as I suggested a long time ago?
That would make sense. That is his step daughter....ish.

Speaking of that, is her mom the inspiration for the zombie cheerleader?

Sure looks like her.

I called him an idiot in retaliation to his insult, so seems fair to me?

I apologize for the harsh words MM but it’s difficult to tell if you’re serious or not when you call someone a peasant and tell them to meet you at e3 with their own game. I understand it must be frustrating when people haven’t played a18 to gauge anything off.

I’m just trying to fight the good fight with Guppy, a zombie game doesn’t need less zombies in the world.

I know you have random encounters planned but I can’t help but feel thats at least a year off.

Again, sorry for my anger but I am one of those passionate ♥♥♥♥ ones who kickstarted this game, and all the fallout, rpg and less zeds talk worries me.

Wow. My point is, while the lead dev talks ♥♥♥♥ about mods, he then implements something from arguably the most popular 7 days mod there is at the moment.

Have you played RH?

Pretty self explanatory but I probably waffled on a bit in my op.
I love mods for games, just not personally using them for 7 days until it goes gold.

Games like Cube World make me on edge. Two developers that didn’t let there fans into the development processes for 6 years and in consequence have got a steam score of 41% on release today. Removing very basic rpg things like exp and skill trees. I know I have been rude when I’m on these forms and I’m sorry for that but I’m glad that you guys talk to us.

Don’t insult the modders and their ideas if you’re gonna use them yourself? LolHows that?
Most game company EULA for mods state that the mod, ideas etc all become property of the game developer once you publish them. Regardless, raging zombies isn't some revolutionary thing and I've only glanced at a few mods over the years and its been 2-3 years at least since I last looked at a mod on youtube. I've never downloaded any, but as stated we could use any ideas we wanted, but ideas are a dime a dozen and freely available in 1000's of games, movies books, real life, etc.

But then you need to stop spawning new player in wasteland. I know it is spawn box can be placed, but at least navegame or default RWG shouldn't do that. It will be unfair to that player in server world.
Already have.

Mods will be so much better once this game eventually hits gold (don’t rush). I’d imagine this game is a modders dream. I like the Fantasy mod and how many enemy types there are. I want to build silent hill 2’s world or the mansion in resident evil. I’d like for there to be a mod that changes enemy types into ghostly horrors.

Ok.
1. This isnt the place to discuss my mod or any mods really.

2. I dont think my mod is awesome at all. Im actually very critical of my own work. Also I wouldn't even BE modding if it weren't for Pimps and my love for this game. As much as I may disagree on some stuff I will always respect the fact its their game, and I am thankful they allow the modding that they do. Joel has been my inspiration for modding and now he is my inspiration for developing an actual game. Without Pimps and him I dont exist in this community and thats fact.

3. The Rage Zombies were initially a Guppy Creation. I tweaked them to suit Ravenhearst needs. So I credit them to Guppy. Stompy also had ragers a long time ago. They are indeed not an original idea. I FULLY support devs embracing modder ideas. I never consider it stealing because it is their code and their game first and foremost. There have been a lot of ideas in mods past and present that crept their way into the base game and more power to this. If it strengthens the base game they can have all of it.

So please I ask not to argue using my mod as an example. I thank you for the kind words and acknowledgment, it is very much appreciated. But my mod is supposed to be seen as a compliment to the vanilla game, not a rebellion against it.
This is awesome I've inspired you to make a game. I hope you see my critique of ideas and understand them. The more you study design the more you will come to the conclusion I'm right 99% of the time. The hardest part isn't coming up with an idea, but executing it, having it fit into the game properly, mesh with other systems, balance, etc. I'm sure you are getting this as you release your mod and hear feedback and figure out how to solve things that you agree are issues etc. Its not easy, but it can be very rewarding.
