I wonder if it is possible to throw the spear directly up and have it come back down and impale ones own head....

he is in ROTC not the military.

I really do no like the idea non military wearing the uniform in a parade...thats just not cool. In my opinion they have not earned the right to wear the uniform in public yet. what in the world are they doing in ROTC now days. ah ruck marches I miss those.
Oh when he said BDU's I figured he was out of basic training. Hah, a parade in bdu's is not hell lol, that is a vacation compared to basic in the 80's.

 
No, you don't release it right past your head, you release it at full extension (or almost full extension). You can see it in the video too. So the minimum distance between you and the target is more or less the length of your arm + the length of the portion of the spear that is ahead of the hand.
I see what you're saying with the length but the fact that how I grip the spear is going to determine whether I let go or hold onto it. For the power attack it's held with the throwing grip and even if you made contact with the target prior to release you would still let go of the spear.

 
I haven't been keeping up much, but when I come in here, I notice that MM has been active a lot more. I really appreciate that.
Also, I've been playing God of War (the newer one), and Kratos looks a lot like MM. What a BAMF.

from my point of view the biggest breakthrough will be the staff finally acknowledging how important late game content can be in a survival game.

THe attribute perk system is much better. There is actual choice now instead of "I need everything, but what is first". Looting is amazing in 18. 20 new weapons have good progression and fit a certain play style. AI and horde night improvements. A much better progression and balance by far than any version of the game. Its super addictive and fun.

We cleaned up and refined a LOT of systems into a shippable state. New and improved anims. Its just a mountain of stuff, but the difference is night and day, A18 feels polished and beta and has properly accomplished what we were trying to do in 17.

 
Ok you got me hyped cause the whole "I need everything, but what is first" is something me and every single person I played with in A17 was annoyed about.

how many of these 20 new weapons can we see on dev videos? is there a list available?

But we 85% want a crap ton more in the streets and wild. Just to be clear.
...it's just weird and repetitive to find a crapload of Zed's in pois, in the same hiding places (cupboards, rafters, repeat), and it's just not fun clearing out a poi.

Spend half the day just to get crap loot. I no longer even bother with large pois. Garages and broken smaller ones are so plentiful... Hopefully the duplicate poi removal in a18 will help with that.
Agreed. Its fun to be scared in a house while looting, not to take 40 minutes to clear it.

This game is always intriguing to me when it comes to the topic of zombies. It is the only zombie game that I have been a part of where the players and devs are happy to TRIM zombies. It is also my only zombie game that I have played where the world has the least amount of zombies. I struggle to call it a zombie game at times.

For comparison, games I have played such as Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, State of Decay, Dead Rising, Dead Island, Project Zomboid, Miscreated, H1Z1 Just Survive ALL have massive amounts of zombies wandering their game worlds. If we focus just on zombie survival games, I remember when they specifically optimized Just Survive, Miscreated and Zomboid so they could specifically handle larger amounts of zombies on screen and those communities were ecstatic at the idea.

I just find it odd that the BEST zombie game on the market is actively working towards LOWERING their zombie counts overall.
