The rise of bronies were one of the many signs of how degenerative this world has become. -_-

Will there be an option in the future to un-fuel vehicles? While it's not an issue in A17, it's still annoying upgrading from a minibike to a jeep and still having a full tank of gas in the minibike. :p
Smh....1st world apocalypse problems...lol

Yeah, Bs.As. always has a bad weather, I don't know why.
How was your stay in Argentina?

Pretty good Spanish btw. It's not perfect, but maybe we can both meet with snowdog some day and...I'll teach you some things...
Hehe that sounds.. Somewhat disturbing :)

Yeah I really liked the stay in the city. Very friendly people and I love the culture.. Had some good bifo de lomo and dulce de leche. I imagine life in Uruguay is very similar?

I just arrived in Bs. As. after that issue with the public defendant committing 'suicide'.. So there were many protests going on.

Thanks! I'm still doing a bit of Duolingo to keep my Spanish up.. But it's my 4th language, so it's not high on the list :)

Miss Argentina is always so hot every year in the Miss Universe competition...
How about Miss Pennsylvania?

I am getting buff again. Alpha 18 is going to destroy everyone's blood sugar, body fat %, cortizol, etc :D
Will it destroy the CPU/GPU/fan on my gaming laptop as well? ;)

Man...I want to play skyrim again, what mods do you recommend?
Pfff don't ask MM, he is a milk drinker... Start with Requiem as your base mod if you want mechanics for real men, Sands of Time to breathe some life into the empty world and make it dynamic, Expanded towns and cities to make Skyrim great again and Deadly Dragons to give dragons theirs balls back.

We fixed digging zombies. They were digging for a long time, then broke for a long time.
I hated several things about A16: You could go to a rooftop and be completely safe with no investment, and b, you could dig down 3 meters and put a dirt blob over your head and also be completely safe. If I know that there is a super easy way to cheese the horde, suddenly I start building castles and when that fun runs out I just quit.

Now there is a constant urgency like in all time management games, and this is the best change in years.
I'm so glad we're on the same page. Survival was a side matter in A16 and while I enjoyed the alpha to some degree, I really had to intentionally screw myself over for the game to provide any sort of challenge. The AI was so limited that it could barely path to you most of the time and that's something that no difficulty slider could fix.

People complaining about zombie digging and their ability to destroy concrete should really just reduce block damage in the options menu, but out of some bizarre sense of pride refuse to. They want "realistic" zombies with no supernatural demolishing or sensing abilities, yet still want the player to be a master builder able to single-handedly erect steel and concrete super structures. It just sounds like a recipe for a very boring and unengaging game in my opinion.

I like the direction you guys took with A17 and looking forward to A18.

Digging zombies are not a challenge. They are just annoying.

I often hear them before they have completely dug themselves down to me. Then I go up and there they sit in their hole and I can shoot them down like fish in a barrel. And then I have to plug the hole so I don't fall in. Wandering hordes have already caused a collapse in two of my mines. I spent several days stuffing the huge hole. So if you're into hole stuffing, digging zombies is the right thing for you.

By the way, the option to adjust the block damage of the zombies is only available since A17.2. That means those who complained about the high block damage before couldn't change anything in the options. This has nothing to do with pride.

Everyone is sleeping ? Super, let's take advantage of it...

Whenever I start a new game I think to myself: "this time, I'm going to live in a POI." And each time, I end up creating my own base, for one reason only : the POIs are too big.

And they are too big because a dozen boxes of storage, 4 forges, 2 workshops, 2 labs, 1 cement mixer and some decorating stuff don't need much space. A simple room of 7x7 is good enough.

I think the more time passes, the more space we should need.

It could be possible with :

- Fewer slots in boxes,

- Tier 2 workstations much more imposing (at 6x3 lab, for example): Tier 1 would do the same recipes, but much more slowly.

- And especially, the impossibility of storing the raw materials in chests : only on pallets. No more than 5000 stones, for example, on a pallet of stones, then a new one should be created. These pallets already exist (a pallet of potassium or coal could be the same as cobblestone pallets but with a different color).

Being forced to extend the surface of our base the richer we get seems to me a very interesting feature.

Now you can wake up and take out the rifles ...

Was it not A17 when digging zombies came back? Or was it A16? Yes I know you said A17.2 but nobody said one had to play before it was stable. But either way don't think it has anything to do with pride one way or another.... Another thing so guess it is ok to always rebuild and remake things that get damaged above ground and one can't say that is annoying but one can say oh I have to refill this hole this is annoying. I don't but I know I probably shouldn't say anything because this will get dragged out even more. So will just leave it at that.

I think this would make sense in a more abstract tower defense game.

A larger base footprint to gain strategic power but pay with a tactical disadvantage of having to defend it.

That's not a bad approach.

In 7D it makes little sense when you can always go vertical.

This is all the same issue.

Any game system that permanently eliminates The Threat is game breaking. Whether that is zombies not digging or not destroying concrete blocks, or stealth allowing you to be undetectable on horde nights.

Being able to be undetected after you have "failed" (died during) horde night is not quite the same thing.

I used a ranger station as my first base in my current game.

The size of the room upstairs is 9x9. So it's a bit bigger than what you want but still smaller than most other POIs.

By the way, there will be a bunch of new starter houses in A18. Let's see how big they are.

You want me to make a comment or do you want to wait on SnowDog?

I don't know why you think that sentence is funny, but go ahead and make your comment.

Lol!!!! I cant think of anything to say that wouldn’t get me a sternly worded email from Roland. I think I’m gonna have to pass on that gem. :)

Surely, you just need a not too long hose to do it and have a few seconds to siphon it. Afterwards, expect a "Bad taste in your mouth" debuff.

They can be annoying, but that is the point of this game. no? to get player unrested and survive. Some are direct threat, some are indirect. but you have to prepare for all and everything.
