Will we be able to buy gym stuff weights etc. from trader to make our mancave/gym for a player build base?
Probably not, but a future alpha I'd like to make all model entities be able to radial menu and pickup with a timer so you can collect things for your fort, and do a few scavenger quests based on this feature.

i love!!! Scavenging

Haha, MM doesnt know what can of worms he opened when he asked about logic gates. Que the hardcore minecraft red stone engineers.
Heh, you nailed me right on the head there, but I would never ask for nor want all the stuff there. It would feel a little out of place for me in this game, especially the stuff like item transport. A handful of basic logic gates doesn't feel like it'd be too hard to imagine if I can craft something like a motion sensor, though.

Have you looked at all the options? You can set blood moons to once a month, and randomize when they happen. You can make the days longer.
It's not just about the horde though, MadMole. It's also about what I mentioned earlier, and a point that you picked up on which is screamers.

And then zombies wrecking the landscape...

Having the option to toggle something would really be a massive inprovement. Having the option to fight or not on my own terms is really something that sold both me and my friend to this game 😊

I had plans to get my brother into the game and a few more friends, but I regret to say that with this reluctance to offer players the freedom to choose to fight on their own terms puts me in a position where I cannot recommend it.

I really cannot understand why you are so dead set on forcing the players into conflict when the very choice to do the opposite as and when it suits is one of the best things about 7D.

also joel later on will there be new brawling weapons like steel knuckles, Gauntlets etc

AND will there be more mutant plants like the super corn?
We have not even got to play around with the knuckles yet and you're asking for steel ones already lol :)

Is this not a zombie survival game though ? Expect the unexpected and fear everything, it's a stuggle to survive so you must learn and improvise ways and means to live in this appocolypse, not wave a white flag and say, 'can you come back later as i am not ready yet'. :p

Oh sheesh. If you don't like conflict, build in Sims 4 or something. Or as said, turn all danger to minimum and disconnect during the nights, if it's too scary for you.

I'm glad madmole is pro-challenge and not so much into turning this game into a happyland with unicorns and rainbows.

Unless they're zombies. Well, not rainbows, but unicorns... Zombie Unicorns! Exploding Zombie Unicorns!

Why does it seem like players that perefer hiding underground in order to remain "safe" always have the loudest voice? Its almost like they forgot they are playing a zombie survival game. :bi_polo:

whats new grass is Green?, EA like money???

Zombies are Dead???

@madmole

Do not forgot and always add an option to turn off all challenges in any future games you make or else make it playable for 5 year olds. This way all your future games can appeal to the tiny group of players that play games just to female dog that a game might actually be challenging to them. lmao ;)

I can't speak for every edge case, but you already basically ruined your argument when you mentioned "rebuild the missing half". That involves work, and your asking for a zero work, maintenance free, zero risk underground scenario, and that isn't happening because it would take a bunch of work and be bad for 99.9% of players who bought a survival horde crafting game.
I beg your pardon?

First, I was so safe that I was able to undertake reconstructing the whole building. That came after the fact.

Second, have I not recently stated the amount of hard work that goes into underground building, especially for those going above bedrock? The stamina requirements and associated food, the experience requirements and perk purchases to get through the rock at a half decent speed, the huge land shifting that goes into making a space in which to build, the need to return to the surface for crafting materials to actually construct stuff like the forge, the workbench, chem station etc - the list goes on...

Third, a bunch of work? You mean disabling zombie digging?

Fourth, I don't know where you get your stats from to claim 99.9% of players who bought the game or how it would be 'bad' for them. And what do you mean by 'bad'?

Why don't you do a poll on steam or somewhere you can gain genuine and large sampled votes on things players would like?

But even if it were the case that even 99.99% of the playerbase didn't build underground, then it wouldn't make a difference having the option to disable zombie digging.

If people aren't building underground or they didn't buy the game 'to be safe', then it begs the question of why you would bother to put such digging measures in place at all.

And fifth, and finally, I most certainly am not asking or expecting anything maintenance free. I enjoyed making underground bases to avoid hordes that I didn't want to fight as much as I did maintaining an above ground base to take them down when I wanted to take them on. That included upkeep, traps, and replacing damaged ground.

Tried playing through the Witcher 3, but I couldn’t make the enemies not see me. Damn those choice limiting Devs

i mostly ask for stuff to make stuff harder like my Rabited Parcours idea which this zombie is wearing a Hoodie and Jeans with Padding and duct tape on his Sleeve, this zombies can Climb walls and Jump from Place to Place with Speed.

Ravaged Firefighter: A firefighter that burned a Fire and was infected, has a look of a buried Victim but where's a firefighter Suit and is Almost fireProof. But his chest is inflated with tons of Gas from decommission and if the gas is Exposed he will blow up in a ball of fire witch acts like a molotov.

ETC
