It's 1/3 of max, not current health, right? In theory, wouldn't you be able to have a very deep pit with ledges at intervals where they take "full" damage each fall? Can't test it right now and I always forgot to get around to it when the nerf was released.
Only faatal knows and it should stay that way. Leave some room for experimentation.

We fixed digging zombies. They were digging for a long time, then broke for a long time.
I hated several things about A16: You could go to a rooftop and be completely safe with no investment, and b, you could dig down 3 meters and put a dirt blob over your head and also be completely safe. If I know that there is a super easy way to cheese the horde, suddenly I start building castles and when that fun runs out I just quit.

Now there is a constant urgency like in all time management games, and this is the best change in years.
Hey, MadMole.

But the same safety applies to the rooftop bases on both single and multiplayer.

Whats the fix for cheesing the horde with that? And why is it that zombies digging was revisited and reimplemented, and yet I haven't seen the rooftop cheesing so much as talked about?

We want people to face the horde. Its a big part of the game, for me its the only reason to play at least until the rpg elements get some more depth, but it would take a Skyrim/Fallout level of depth for me to be immersed and we'll never get that far with our first game. Maybe by the 3rd sequel we'll have a team and tech advanced enough to get there.
I mean if there isn't a horde coming for you, what is your purpose? Just to build? Survival is trivial when you take out all the time it takes to prepare for a horde.

We do want to support nomads and let them have a way out of the hordes. I just want to do quests so I can stay at a safe place for a lot of dukes. So something will come eventually, but zombies that can't dig doesn't feel like the best solution. We want underground to have a few more hazards too like breathing should be a problem when you get deeper and require to be in the radius of an electrical powered oxygen generator or something, or wear a mask, etc.
Well, you said it. You want us to face the horde.

Where's the middle ground? For those who want to face the horde one week and avoid it the next if they aren't prepared or just want to spend the night crafting?

Or is it a case of fight then, disable the bloodmoon, or find another game?

As a developer I would, as one of your customers and players, urge you to at least consider some toggles later on. Prior to the reinstatement of digging I really loved this game because I didn't feel that pressure of being pushed into a fight.

Don't force players. Reward them.

I don't want the same routine crap EVERY week that I'm forced to face just to end up being shafted and want to quit because of the tedium of fighting, and for the odd loot bag here and there.

That is a complete turn off.

Seems to me having static power use would solve it. You are simply trying to conserve power here yes?
Ehhhh, I would definitely use it for that, but nah. I'd like it for cases like deactivating the dart traps in the falling into the pit example instead of that being a death sentence. As Meganoth said, leaving the function of wiring switches in a series and simply adding a button to motion sensors that makes them so they are always active unless they detect whatever is selected. It would open up some other cool uses as well as allow adding some redundancy to trap activators in case one is destroyed.

I can picture a block that could possibly work without having to make a change to allow multiple mother connections: a block with three nodes to connect to. Two are inputs and one is output. Maybe even just one block with changeable logic(AND, OR, etc).

EDIT: I see your reply to MajorMunchy about it probably not being worth the effort. I can definitely live without it(or suffer the consequences in my example case, heh)- just some pimp dreams.

I agree it's better that way. :D

I like the farming box idea. Now I can use them for cosmetic reasons. not sure why everyone is in a tizzy. I am guilty of going off once in the forum, but that, as all the going off in my head, is pointless until you get a chance to play it. And you guessed it the thing that I was "all mad" about turned out I really liked it... (goreblocks was the thing, the old stack-able ones that took all morning to clean off the base)
The pots can also be painted, by the way.

The only disadvantage is that there is a gap at the borders if you want to place them flush with the ground. But you can cover this gap with plates. This can then be used as a decorative element as well.

What are you talking about? Zombies will shred any building or find a way to you if you don't put in some work. Roof tops are not safe.

I'm assuming you mean now? Because A17 would disagree with you. And I have a rooftop base to prove it 😂

In fact it was so safe I was able to rebuild the whole missing half with very little maintenance on the existing half. So unless something has changed in A18 then rooftops are still very much safe. High rooftops at least.

Edit: For the record I didn't use traps either, or spikes.

Have you looked at all the options? You can set blood moons to once a month, and randomize when they happen. You can make the days longer.

I can't speak for every edge case, but you already basically ruined your argument when you mentioned "rebuild the missing half". That involves work, and your asking for a zero work, maintenance free, zero risk underground scenario, and that isn't happening because it would take a bunch of work and be bad for 99.9% of players who bought a survival horde crafting game.

Will we be able to buy gym stuff weights etc. from trader to make our mancave/gym for a player build base?
+1 make it decor. Cmon you got a week or so until streamer release, ...you know you wannnnttt toooooo

no i Expected A Call of duty like Shooter

True/False switch
" If A or B are true, Then C is False"

True=On False=off

If A (Switch) is on, or B (Turret) Is on, then C(Door) is off (closed door) then if A and B is off, then the C being the door, is open

Basically a If and or or neither situation.

I have a small feeling this is trolling asking about this but electrical engineering class do somewhat pay off in life

Here is a lovely picture if you care to digest :)

Haha, MM doesnt know what can of worms he opened when he asked about logic gates. Que the hardcore minecraft red stone engineers. 😎

also joel later on will there be new brawling weapons like steel knuckles, Gauntlets etc
