Lol give me a break, if you ever built an above-ground base capable of sustaining a decent horde night (as in: not day 7 or 14), you would know a little roaming horde or a screamer ain't nothing to be worried about at all and there is little to no maintenance.
Fwiw I couldn't care less whether there is a digging/no digging option, I'm all for making everyone happy and to each their own, it doesn't impact my games if you turn it off. But since it isn't implemented and seems to be harder than you think (hint : it's probably used in a lot of algorithms to calculate AI pathing and disabling it is harder than turning a boolean to false right now), you'll have to deal with it for now.
I already provided two solutions for his style, A build a horde tower as he said he does, B, put turrets above your underground base to deal with screamers, and you will be safe in your bunker except on horde night until you die. If that isn't enough, then there seems to be an ulterior motive, only a pvp fan would object to my solutions.

Already agree with that idea. What i dont agree with is it was some big conspiracy to screw over underground dwellers. That theory is pretty ridiculous.
Its more than a quick switch though, so this choice delays gold, delays bandits, delays bug fixes of faatals existing code, and possibly adds lots of new bugs and edge cases to solve. Its like a bomb defusing movie where you pull the wrong wire off you go boom. Why risk it when there are clear and obvious ways in 18 to support what they want with some effort, as it should be. NOT an option. If you want an underground base, you jump through the hoops we say, or turn of the blood moon.

Meh, you can only repeat the same arguments so many times. He's already retreated to his underground bunker of arguments: "player choice". Where is that impressively effective Guppycur "Stop." when you need it. Still blows my mind from yesterday.
So, @TFP, these cosmetic mods... do they have the same chance to appear in loot as utility mods? Is there a separate item for each cosmetic appearance, or are they crafted with the item having the appearance you'd like?(this sounds ideal to me.) Finally, I can't remember or find a response to this: your feelings on adding some logic gates to electricity?
They are rare loot/trader buy. You cannot craft them. They give you the full heat/cold resistance a hat does, and it takes a slot like where a cooling mesh would go, so you look cool and have top armor protection and the best heat/cool protection.

I don't see any reason for a logic gate because I don't know what it does. I wired houses too, and never ran into such a thing, unless you are referring to like a 3 way switch? What use is this logic gate you speak of?

We want underground to have a few more hazards too like breathing should be a problem when you get deeper and require to be in the radius of an electrical powered oxygen generator or something, or wear a mask, etc.
This is a very intriguing concept! I do want to express my concerns over mining in these sorts of situations however, specifically if the player didn't have the time/resources to craft, place, and power all the electrical equipment to survive and be able to mine out resources fast enough to prepare for the next horde. Sometimes, a player needs 10,000 lead out in only two or so days. But I'm sure that if these features are ever implemented, that they will be balanced enough to not feel like a detriment, and would only add to the overall 7D2D experience while potentially not creating scenarios like I described above. (:

me no tell..

have to have some secrets :)
where the broadcast station!

The secrets joe what do they mean!?!?

Where are they coming from

Maybe some zombies can burrow underground but others can follow (kinda like a mole)

and other stuff like gas vents , spores and other stuff

I say since turning off the blood moon horde isn’t good enough for the people who dig underground bases, just remove that feature. The only reason it exists was to appease this play style and apprarently it’s not good enough.Sorry, I was always against them adding this feature. I love the idea of player choice, but horde night defines this game. Removing it destroys its foundation, no pun intended.
It serves a small purpose, at least until we get some more features/refinements in. There is that weird case where ok you are on day 7 and your friend just bought the game and wants to join. So you could turn it off that one night so he has some time to find you and get set up, etc. Now that quests are available, maybe people who just want to shoot and loot can do those, and not have to worry about building a huge base. So we can support a few more play styles with it, that was an easy one to add. We're not against easy options that add something or make the game accessible.

I'd have never played ark for 1300 hours if they didn't have some options or mod support because vanilla is horrible. Like 4 real time hours to tame the smallest dino. I don't have 4 hours to feed this thing I'm a busy guy.

Probably the easiest way to get resources in A18 is to mine top down from resource nodes. The hazards won't start before (citing MM) "when you get deeper"

I like the farming box idea. Now I can use them for cosmetic reasons. not sure why everyone is in a tizzy. I am guilty of going off once in the forum, but that, as all the going off in my head, is pointless until you get a chance to play it. And you guessed it the thing that I was "all mad" about turned out I really liked it... (goreblocks was the thing, the old stack-able ones that took all morning to clean off the base)

Right, right.

I was confused on whether the resources nodes on the surface would lead down to an eventual cluster of ores, or if they were part of the vein itself, or something of that nature. Now I know.

It's cool that you get the weather protection as well as the appearance.

AND(active when both inputs are active), OR(active when either of two inputs are active) and NOT(outputs opposite of input) gate would probably cover everything useful I'd like out of them. I don't know how hard this would be since currently everything only accepts one input wire.

One example: I have some dart traps in a pit in my horde base and it could be useful to have a circuit like this: switch to turn it on, motion sensor set to detect myself or friendlies in the pit into a NOT gate. Both of these input into an AND gate into the relay going to the darts. That way it would be active when switched on unless a friendly falls into the pit.

Maybe you can only get special Blueprint only Made from white river like a Dart Rifle

Thermite

and more

Not in the game on purpose. It is the limited resource you should not be able to mine, but have to buy, scavenge, wrench or steal.
oh true lol my bad

but maybe in the wasteland there could be little nodes of Melted Brass that you can harvest or piles of it that you can find

cuz the wasteland could uses some love (its my favorite area lol)

fault in your logic. they nerfed zombie fall damage a few alphas ago. and possibly nerfed even more this alpha
I think they take up to 1/3 their health falling, and great chance to ragdoll if its a long distance.
