Not sure what your implying regarding poison. I think your reading into my words too much. I asked him to clarify his position and he did. Just like he has a preference on how to play the game as well so do I which I shared. Instead of attacking me or my response why dont you try adding to the discussion instead in a constructive way?
Players should have choice. That doesn't require discussion.

"You can make all of the people happy some of the time, and some of the people happy all of the time, but you can't make all of the people happy all of the time." Bastardized -A. Lincoln.

Not everything can be solved by a switch. Turning off zombies because you are underground doesn't make sense. A zombie game without zombies isn't a zombie game. It's just a mining game. Love the interruptions. Have Flagstone will fill hole.

Do iron doors not place flush next to iron bars? I know Trader Bob's has an iron door placed backwards in a fence to make a tight seal; would that work with Madmole's nice plate + bar wall design? I want to steal it for my own battle cages :cocksure:

@Madmole can you answer whether the mode "dead means dead", which was previously promised, will be added? Now I have to delete the save after the first death, and start a new game, but I would like it easier
Nothing is ever promised, until it is announced as on the roadmap. So, maybe.

That sounds pretty easy to me. Also if my game was deleted because I died from some glitch in the programming and not my game play, I would not be very happy.
Yeah it takes 2 seconds to say, welp, that guy is dead and not play that save any more or manually delete it.

October 4th for the stream team, if everything goes swimmingly. For non-streamers, hopefully the following Monday afterwards, so 3 days after. But these are just hopeful objectives, not deadlines.
Or Sunday if the streamers don't uncover anything super nasty.

You wouldn't be so evil as to release it before the first day of the week now, would you?

Imagine all the sick leaves!

........awesome.

Desperately Wanna see The Vulkan renderer issue get fixed because that will bring SO MUCH more performance to the Linux version of the game. 7 days to die is one of my favorite multiplayer games on Linux, not to mention many people who run servers are using Linux, so it'd be great to see you guys work on the Vulkan renderer. It doesn't hurt Windows users at all, and it provides a huge performance uplift for Linux users. When I run the game with Wine+DXVK (direct X to Vulkan calls for you windows users) I experience between 20% to 40% better performance, and that's with the game in its current state where vulkan renderer is broken.

My Only issue is that when I run the game with Lutris + Wine and DXVK, I am unable to bring up the in-game console with the F1 key. Not sure why, but since I run a dedicated server and sometimes need to send commands to server's console from my client, this sometimes is an issue and I have to keep a separate terminal open with telnet client connected to the server (or a web browser when the server's remote access is turned on.)

If servers do render the game then that is definitely a MF bug.

They are supposed to render nothing at all, meaning that Vulcan can at best mean a 0% performance increase.

Not wanting digging zombies in no way implies RipClaw asking to ignore 'all threats.'
You are another voice among the poison on this forum. You take exception to RipClaw having a certain preference but have no problem objecting on the basis that his/her experience doesn't suit your playstyle.

<snip>

We call that self projection. You are the only person within that conversation that is acting in a manner that is "poisonous".

1. He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.

2. shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house

*shakes head in disgust and walks away*

Sure it does. This is a discussion forum. What if that choice impedes the development process? Also where is the line where we say, “Okay, that’s too many options”. Once all of YOUR preferences are toggled what about the next guy who cares about things you don’t? And then the next guy? And the next? at some point someone isn’t going to get their choice.

Players shouldn’t always get to have choice—especially during development testing. I’m all for an option on zombie digging but faatal said it would be complicated to do so it shouldn’t be a priority until after gold.
