Thank you for the civilized comment Roland, I appreciate it so much. I'm sorry if I did upset you and the guys that are civilized. You know, I do get a feeling that the community gets a bit toxic when someone doesn't agree with a feature, like calling someone a kid because they don't agree with a feature and turning it into a personal attack. It happened every time when a new feature was announced and I got totally disgusted about it. The list for complaints about A18 is quite big and I watched every reaction, didn't like it. The game is cool, but the community, nah.
Peoples opinions, regardless of what they are, are welcome. Not everyone may like it, some will be immature with there reactions. Best thing to do, if you have a silver tongue, is respectfully shut down the haters or simply ignore them. I agree all forums have this issue from time to time but all it takes is 1 active person within the forums to change the attitude of the masses. This forum is getting better at being respectful when it comes to people voicing there opinions. We will always run in to those arguementative types, the key is not feeding there confrontational ways.

Rules I try and remember in life. Always be honest, direct and firm while being respectful when interacting with another person regardless of the situation and of course, always be quick to listen and slow to speak. :)

No. Other than bugs, they do what they are programmed to do and it is quite intentional.
Hmm am I wrong then that it has been said that the AI is meant for Bandits and for the zombies at some future point it will be decreased? This was when people were complaining about the zombie pathing that was introduced in A17.

I remember someone saying something like that but like anything mentioned here, it's probably just an idea and will be evaluated to see if it still makes sense when the time comes.

It already has been decreased. In A17.0 all zombies were using the "optimal" path. Now there is a mix of dumb and more intelligent zombies. And the pinnacle of intelligence will be the bandits, using firearms and never shambling straight at you.

I will try it so Madmole won't come to me and say "Hey, you are just talk, you didn't even try it but you know how to complain". First of all, I'm not complaining, it was just a constructive criticism which the devs and players don't seem to take it very well...and secondly, as I said, it will be the same thing, I will get bored of their so beloved and praised A18. Oh the hype, I'm not even excited about A18. I will play it for a few days and get bored, it has happened before.
The only versions that I played like crazy were below A14(including A14), so yeah, not excited until I see bandits and npcs, which will make the game so much better. As I said, I still enjoy the game overall, but looking at A18 and comparing it to A17, it's nothing new and interesting I couldn't live without. Maybe the compound crossbow that is supposed to come in A18 will make it a little more enjoyable (also, it depends on the model they choose, if I don't like the model then not even the compound crossbow will make A18 interesting).
Makes sense, but it's a bit dumb to decide on how much you will play something without even trying it. What if you do like it?

No offense, but it's almost like when a kid doesn't try some food, and them saying it's bad. (Not trying to say you're a kid, just an analogy)

I tested Vulkan last year in A17 and 80% of what was rendered was pink.
I tried Vulkan again today after seeing you mention it, since we are on a newer version of Unity (2019.1). Turns out all the pink rendering was shaders needing to be updated. Fixed that, but unfortunately even with the latest nVidia drivers, the renderer hangs after a few seconds in Navezgane in the editor or a build. Probably bugs in Unity's Vulkan code. I see 2019.2 has a bunch of Vulkan fixes, so maybe it will work the next time we update Unity. Possibly A19.

It did not hang in a Prefab playtest, but didn't notice any big performance change.
Thanks Faatal

Hey.After watching Joel’s video

I have to wonder if they are coded to do entity damage and not block damage. The way he was constantly using explosives right on top of his spikes, I suspect they do none or very little block damage.

they are. frag grenades dont really do that much terrain damage as it is. and dynamite doesnt either unless it is packed. like a firecracker in a can v's on a table. lots of shrapnel tho.

Probably done for gameplay reasons. Otherwise grenades would be less useful on horde night.
