20 MF's its not looking too good. We'll make the official decision tomorrow. MP and RWG stuff mostly. Junk turrets disappear of a dead body dies by it, which really sucks. Thrown spears against rage zombies goes right through them, another can't ship bug. Good thing I'm doing INT Perception build. RWG 8k won't work on radeon. Some RWG maps have no trader at all, towns spawning in rad zones. We'll get it, but its too much on one guy right now. 15% this Friday chance IMO, 90% chance for Oct 4.
I sure could use a couple more weeks to polish perception/intellect too. As much as I am having fun I'd like those builds to have my stamp of approval too. No idea if they are horde viable.
The junk turret bug happens with trees also. Try planting a sapling right after felling a tree, when the tree disappears it takes the sapling with it. I submitted a bug report for this a while back, seems like the same code is causing it.

planting sapplings has already been fixed TY and YW :)

Hahah yeah even Bethesda has turned into a ♥♥♥♥ show lately taking over 10 years to get us another Elder Scrolls. They used to create a masterpiece every 3 to 4 years max with 1/4 the size team they have now, so I'm not sure what the delay is all about. Probably because consoles are piles of crap and hold devs back from making great next gen games. They are developing on 2019 pcs and current gen consoles are like 10 year old pcs.
To be fair, the guys @ Bethesda who make the ElderScrolls games are still working on Starfield. So it's not like it's taking them this long to make the new elder scrolls. They just chose to make something else before they made a new Elder scrolls.

Do you want to lose your Q6 junk turret? Do you want your spear to go right through a rage zombie and then get stunned and death looped instead of being victorious? You will be the one raging lol. They are MF for a reason, they are nasty game breakers. I know the hype is real as it should be. But being patient means it will be that much sweeter when you do get it. Bugs just ruin all the hard work we put into it.
OH snap, yeah, as anxious and bored as I am those are some nasty ones. Sorry for the BF42 rant, I just woke and that was the first thing I saw catching up. Done with it already. Although I am curious if there will be any new, more intense and bigger, vehicles in future Alphas.

Like, if it is post-war, where are all them war goodies! Sure and Abrams tank would be OP against Z, not sure how you'd balance it. They SUCK gas like crazy, that's one possibility, and the ammo rounds would be crazy expensive. Though I wouldn't mind some more formal airplanes of some kind, eventually. Again could mitigate with high gas consumption rates, so flights would be short, and taking off/landing should be tricky, stuff like that maybe.

Has the issue with turrets targeting entities through walls been fixed, by chance? Just checking. :p
Please god tell me this is fixed, it was fine in A16, but I sadly had to give up on turrets in A17 because of this bug.

Don't they have multiple teams? I don't think everyone at Bethesda works on one game together.

Here's a "philosophical" question to ponder over: if consoles had somehow managed to keep up with the average PC's specs, then games (AAA titles, surely) would be fundamentally more advanced than they are currently. But would computer technology, and our wallets, have been able to keep up? I'm not saying that everything happens for a reason, but cost wise, maybe consoles being so far behind current PC tech is somewhat of a necessary evil. *Shrugs*

True but going 10+ years between versions is really a disservice to fans and they themselves are leaving over a billion dollars on the table. The sweet spot is about 3-5 years for the next version of a game. Less than that and you get into money grab feeling, not enough significant change between versions, and longer than that people might move on, or someone else will take your place in the market.

Well if SONY had remained the same company they were from the beginning then at least that console would have evolved better over time. They had a major change in leadership in the mid 2000s and went from trend setters to just another electronics company. Sad times. BUT before they fell from grace they did do something amazing, and super powerful, in the original PS3: the Cell Processor. That thing was ground-breaking, a revolution in chip architecture that I thought would be the dawn of truly potent consoles in the future. Alas it faded, and now they are just building little potato boxes again. Oh well, so, it almost happened.

Well, in one of Todd Howard's fairly recent speeches, he informed the crowd he was speaking to, and to live broadcasting, that they want to create another decade long Elder Scrolls game. History shall repeat itself, it seems. *Shrugs*

Yeah, but the team under Todd Howard (Lead Design ElderScrolls) were spending the last few years on Starfield, not Elderscrolls. There's other people but they sure arent gonna make an elderscrolls without some of the people that made the previous ones. Also, just like like Madmole said, the tech was/is an issue as well.

Totally agree. It's unfortunate for the fans (which i consider myself), but when you're working on elderscrolls games for decades at a time, i can't blame someone for wanting to try something else for a bit. Quite common with dev studios, as im sure you know.

Besides, i'm almost as hyped up for Starfield then a new Singleplayer Elderscrolls.

They do but these are the B teams that work on side titles. Like they subbed out Fallout 76 to "b teams" in Austin and the Canadian one, and elder scrolls blades too I'd guess. The one good group in Bethesda are the guys making all the money. So unfortunately while they work on Starfield Fallout 5 and ES6 are not being worked on, or only in pre production efforts still by the same people.

Its really screwing up their good name and brand IMO. They were on fire from 2006-2015 making Oblivion, Fallout 3, (subbed out vegas), then Skyrim and Fallout 4. Now not so much. I mean they will probably make the best space rpg ever, but at the expense of ES and Fallout franchises sitting on the shelf. I get it, at a designer you get bored with one franchise, but IMO they could have subbed out Starfield and done ES 6. Noone would notice they didn't make Starfield because its a brand new game. But we sure notice ES6 taking 10+ years.
