Do hotpants count?
I'm confused between the 3 of you who is poking who? I thought you liked those hot rocks...... ;)

On topic, I say don't rush A19 in my opinion. Just treat whatever update that will go in around that time as A18.6.......

What's the 1942 in your name stand for? The year you were born? The amount of sexually inappropriate jokes you made in here?
Lol. Battlefield 1942, the game that got me hooked on muliplayer pvp and co-op.

If it represented what u suggest the number woild be much higher, give me some credit here :)

Yes and no for me. It was one of the games but not the first game that got me hooked. The Swat games got me hooked. Then battlefield, counter strike, Vegas, and unreal tournament. But the swat3 and swat4 was hooked. First time I ever joined a clan was back with the swat games miss those days lol.

that's a maddock isn't it?
mattock is a sledge hammer type. pointed and flat, not edged

I stand corrected. I was thinking war mattock. seems agricultural mattock and the pick-axe are very similar to the point they are almost synonymous.

I see almost everyone chase after XP and I cannot understand why. They are shooting themselves in the foot trying to "win" the game.
Because character development aka investing skill points gives direction. It's the very foundation of any RPG, plus: Any skill point based system is basically a level-gate that locks away features from the player.

I cannot understand why not to chase XP. Playing for x hours on a low game stage isn't fun as it isn't to kill zombie no. 1595 with wooden arrows or a wooden club.

Agreed. There's low hanging fruits to be picked up, it baffles me people try to cheese the system the other way around in order to keep the game easy.

It isn't about easy though. Some enjoy and find it fun just like some find rocks being fun as others don't. ;)

Oh I don't discriminate, I like everything!

Yeah I'm counting only the remarks of this month though!

It's a mystery - I mean what is even "character development"? Could it be that they are taking it literally? Fools!

@NukemDed
If you aim to evade zombies rather than killing as many as you can, you don't level up as quickly.

I'm just a minmaxer and if the game provides a mechanic to "freeze" XP gain then to me that's an obvious thing to do.
Well since it will provide you a way to not level in A18 by dying, you can keep dying regularly to min-max, and avoid that *brilliant* scaling mechanic the game has that de-incentivizes you from using the rpg part of the game, by essentially not using that part of the game yourself! Mind-blowing.

You're trying to swim against decades of gaming tropes, wherein a "level 5" character was always stronger, better, faster than a "level 4" character, and a "level 10" character could one-shot both of 'em dead.
In some respects perhaps, the XP in 7Days is almost even a little mis-named, if it's not something that is totally beneficial to the player, as it is in just about every other game ever made. In 7Days, it's a more nuanced , double-edged sword, but new players especially aren't going to have even the slightest idea of that.
Tropes? More like the definition of some words of the english vocabulary, common sense and the reason leveling exists in the first place. Indeed, naming it to "world progression" would be a more fitting name with the scaling in place. Do anything - the world, along with yourself, zombies and items, progresses on some invisible points that you can get by your actions.

Never liked it and would at least wish for a much more sublime scaling with *global* time being a small factor in that equation, more prominently leveled zones/subzones/POIs and not so much player baby-sitting with stage caps. A man can dream.

Ah.. So you are a young grasshopper still! Here.. I think it's time to learn some responsibility. Take care of her..
* Hands over Gerda the Granite *

Remember she needs to be walked twice a day.
So... taking care or a rock is harder than taking care of 2 baby cats that are really weird and like to break stuff? Sound right to me, I will take care of Gerda, I swear.

Thanks for calling me young, very much appreciated.

You might just have turned 24, but that's not how adults discuss things!!

Very immature of you.....Boobs.

Hello have you fix this problem ?

God...I remember a younger me, discovering for the first time that you could actually fly planes. I've been flying jets, helicopters, and (recently) planes in BF1 ever since.

I think the problems is that in previous versions, all the good gears, progressions are lock behind levels and perks. You want better gears? level up intelligent. You want iron and steel? better perk into forge skills. You want to make anything that isn't basic? learn crafting bench. Can't fault the player that want to advance their progress because everything is lock behind perks.

edit: correct me if I'm wrong, in A18, we can pick up crafting bench? or you still have to find schematic or learn perk?

I am a person that would rather wait to make sure any MF bug that crashes my world upon loading is fixed. RWG especially, weather isnt gonna be fixed, so world gen better be.
and I am on this forum
Well that's easy. Don't opt in to experimental.

This is the kind of video I wanted to see - mining is what I love.

Question - While in the nitrate/lead mine you mentioned "I guess I could use nitrate for farming" what do you mean? Nitrate had nothing to do with farming in A17.x

PS: I love the new nodes and how minerals look - kudos to the Art/Graphics team on making things look so much better!

I started my journey with the release of BF2 in 2005. I immediately got hooked. In BF 1, I really enjoy bayonet feature.

I wish only we had at least 3 seated vehicles in 7dtd. 4 seated would be splendid. I don't mind flying machines in 7dtd somehow.

Stalker series especially Call of Chernobyl mod is something worth looking into in search for ideas. There seem to be biom like zones as well. Swamps, Forests, Industrial zones, vast underground secret facilities etc. Many anomalies, mutants, zombified enemies and many rivaling factions. Perhaps the game is clunky a bit by today's standards but replayability is high especially after few mods installed.

Hihihihihi you said a naughty word! I'm going to tell Roland!

Yeah taking care of a rock can be hard.. Not as hard as diamond, but still..

In a18 you can be lvl 5 or 6 forever. Several times I have asked for a way to cut down XP gain for myself (the opposite of nerd goggles) and now I got one without even trying.I don't always like to play the rat race. I'm fine with not having many perks and going looting/exploring instead.

I see almost everyone chase after XP and I cannot understand why. They are shooting themselves in the foot trying to "win" the game.
That's what I've been saying! If you don't start no ♥♥♥♥ there won't be no ♥♥♥♥.

...ignore the big pois. Pointless.

...stay low gs. Pointless.

You'll eventually have enough dukes to buy whatever you need, bm's will still be fun because linear challenge is linear, and you can own the world!
