Nope, and I would probably throw the 13th out the window because this week is short. If things go well I would guess Friday the 20th, if we can't make that we'll postpone until Oct because of Twitchcon the end of Sept.
With 47 MF's I don't see that happening, but it could, new MF's are still added daily.

Remember these are optimistic madmole guesses, and not a TFP announcement.

...I was literally just defending you guys on a discord about this and here you are saying you'd do it.

Do your sales numbers from streamer weekends really justify this huge change in the old "it's out when it's ready" mantra that made you defendable against corporate greed accusations?

I'm honestly flabbergasted. I get business is business, but c'mon... You finally got us around to being okay with streamers getting it first...

I'm leaning towards TWD lore atm, but not Romero stuff.
I don't get why people are so fixated on lore.

Bad things that want to harm me do what is necessary to get to me. Therefore I must defend myself in any way that works.

Well I could see the game becoming very slow if you had get that much experience per level.
I'd say the target is 1 level every 3 hours at late game, early game target is 1 level per hour or game day, give or take 50%.

 
I am, as an electrician I am hoping it will get a book series to allow for more advanced electrical builds. Like for instance a hidden wiring system, where you get to create/use smaller model outlets and place them on the walls. As long as the walls are connected the "wire" is there and all you should only need to connect the power source to an inlet to power the circuit.

Nope, block continuity is super expensive.

Did you not see the video on the new builder helper blocks?

You craft a frame and can place any shape.

For furniture you craft a furniture helper and you can set it to whatever furniture you want, wooden chair, a sign, a park bench etc.

Why would we ♥♥♥♥ on the twitch guys who drive our sales? Taking an extra two weeks could be a good thing, as experimental has traditionally gone out half baked. A portion of our staff will be there too, and we want all hands on deck when we release not a half manned ship.

No but you can take on Shamway/Shotgun messiah factory on day 1. What does your reputation with the trader have to do with anything? Thats like saying can I be CFO with no experience?

Lore can add a lot if done right, look at Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Building compelling story, lore and tying everything together with it can make a big difference in immersion and players getting interested in the universe. Fallout isn't just 2287 post apocalypse game set in the future, its a game with an alternate past of 2077 that is like a mixture of future tech with a 50's retro style with unique branding of products the entire world is built upon. "Vault tech", "Mr Handy", "Nuka Cola" etc it all builds upon a theme you can look forward to learning more about in sequels and providing interesting content for the player to discover.

Grounded somewhat in the 50's style of past makes the future a little more believable and interesting so its not just another blade runner. Pretty brilliant IMO. Elder Scrolls is medieval fantasy so its still grounded in history quite a bit with swords, castles, crossbows.

I'm interested in The Outer Worlds, a brand new future space exploration RPG probably done right (guys that made new vegas) could be very cool. They copied this format of grounding the future in what seems to some various forms of history, like a neon old west looking town and the radio ads are certainly 50's fallout sounding.

 
When players don't have to travel around on map to gain items they need to survive kills PVP. We all have seen by now new items , player builds and such but what I would like to know is what improvement or item has been added for a18 that well get players traveling for survival. Being able to set at one location with loot so ramdomly available allows players to get to comfortable without having to move around to survive, this needs balancing. thanks

A lot of last week was spent on getting the new Physics Master system working, so thrown item physics will run on the client. I have several bugs with laggy throwing/colliding and throwing through players, which that will fix. SP does not have those problems, since the physics were already running on your computer.

We've restricted the size of towns a bit and there are more destroyed buildings now that are good for framerate, have a bit of loot in them and don't take half a day to clear out. This should let a person dry up an area and be forced to move on.

I was just pointing out one of many things that I can't do until the game feels I'm ready; you know I'm a big proponent of area based dangers, and if some rookie on day 1 wants to take on the "Kill the Duke" quest then I say fuggem, let 'em and let 'em deal with the multiple deaths. =)

There is enough fuggem going on, they can jump through the hoops then do it.

That said, we're slowly working towards making all the non forest biomes more dangerous and the wasteland super dangerous so the risk reward is higher than normal there. Basically inflate the gamestage by 100 or so in the wasteland and add radiation to deal with. We'll have to let the player know its dangerous in these other biomes and get all spawning in the forest to make this move. The biome GS code is there but we aren't using it so you modders can jack it up once A18 hits the streets.

I'd like to get gamestaged biome spawns too, or GS'd random encounters.

I've been eyeballing those rad1 and rad2 zones for a while now; rad1, you can go in but need iodine pills, rad2 you better bring your hazmat suit, that kind of thing...

I hope y'all officially do a booth at a con; I'd go, but unfortunately most of the cons seem to be during my work season.
