Now that there are more specific classes I feel its worth a go at each type, like once you feel bored with the agility build (stealth) you can try something else. Although stealth has SMG and Magnums with AP rounds are no joke.
I don't do pure builds. In the beginning I mainly go for strength and fortitude for mining and melee. The club is my main weapon during the early game. Later in the game I shift towards perception and agility for stealth.

Personally I think the Magnum and the SMG are the wrong weapons for stealth. A bow or the crossbow fit much better. Quiet and deadly.

And I play long games. 200-300 hours in a single game are not uncommon. I only get bored when I run out of ideas for base building.

The cool thing about Stranded Deep? Well, I don't know about now, but up until probably 6 months ago it was a team of two. And the immersion of the game was breathtaking! Still had lots of problems, but was playable. Very impressed with that game.
I've enjoyed most of those games tbh. Not day z because the controls were sub standard and 2 hours of looting to find one bean can only to get sniped by a sniper with no life was not my cup of tea. Haven't tried stranded deep yet but will get to it.

Yes please DO NOT RELEASE A18 with a bunch of known bugs, especially ones that effect FPS. :) In The Fun Pimps I trust though.

Oh man I prefered LBD. I wish they never took that out but it is what it is. I loved the old leveling system but this one is good and I have not publically spoken on how I feel as I felt it needed a lot more work before throwing out another opinion. so I have been waiting till A18 before I say a word. looks like they might get it right.
I didn't. I thought it was a serious pain in the ass to get some of the skills to level with LBD (Medicine and Science and armor skills for example).

I'll be honest i watched the first 3 minutes then just jumped around in the vid for another 2 before closing it.I do like the fact he builds a lot like me. Not seen to many players in game that actually use bars as a platform...maybe people do now i dunno lol.

I do not use ammo for guns all that much but I never had issues with ammo. not sure why everyone does..
We've always used bars as a platform.

Good point, I guess I'm only remembering the good things about the old system lol.

Really....I've never witnessed other players using the bars in that way. I always thought it was weird more players did not figure it out. Those bars are a god sent. :)

I also use the bars overhead in order to keep the vultures out during horde night. Basically I have a big cage made out of bars surrounding my base for horde nights. works great.

I'll be eating crow about this for a while but this happened last night:
OMFG I was flying the gyro and hit E by accident, and jumped out at very high altitude, luckily I had read the book that lets you fall a great distance, but I still broke my leg horribly lost 100+ hit points and fell right into a POI trailer trash area and had radiated and ferals waking up and around me. I used a lot of ammo got stunned and bled, but I still survived lol. Crazy accident I thought I was dead for sure.

I think I took my hand of the wsad to get a drink or something and put my hand one spot over from WSAD. Yeah we'll be putting in a parachute if I have anything to say about it :) I remember falling and the gyro was right there, I was trying to reach it to activate it and get back in and the thing just slipped away in slow motion. I was amazed I survived, I thought I was going to go splat. Thanks to books, 160 health and maybe heavy armor I somehow survived that. I did have 18k on me, so maybe that perk saved my life, I don't know.

It was a cool video. :) I really liked how the jumping zombie hopped up well over four meters to get to you. Or when they jump and flew past you. lol I also liked how the vulture attacked randomly and flew away when it was shot. I also liked how the ending where they zombies didn't seem to want to give up and seemed to keep coming.

The pathing is still not that great as they seem to form a line at one spot and focus on that one area, then switch to the next. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. At times, only the birds and hoppers distracted you.

Well until you had them charge the front of your fort.

The M-60 seems to still have issues. I watched and the weapon firing seems to slow down most of the time. I thought it was low frame rate but if

it was that then why was the AK unaffected. Also everything would have slowed down and glitched but the only thing that seemed to slow down was the M-60.

Then the ammo for the M-60 seemed to set randomly at 6:06 at 42 round and not at 65. Buy the way, that ammo can mounted on the M-60 should hold 200 rounds.

Zombies seemed to glitch through the door but I'm sure you saw that.

I liked the ammo boxes in your inventory, a great way to carry ammo but they look too much like bullets. Even with that smaller box in the background (which I did not see at first). I recommend reversing the view so the box is in the foreground with the bullet inside the box. Also that it looks more like a box of ammo and not a crate.

What was that with not being able to repair your weapon at first? Is that a must fix MF?

Anyways, great video and I hope that you found my feedback helpful. :)
The M60 has a fast fire rate and was loaded with piercing rounds, so maybe the code going through multiple targets is slow yet and needs optimized, or its a combination of fire rate + limbs flying off (M60 seems to dismember really high) and penetrating bullets. We'll need to put it to the profiler and see.

Yep so do we. we also do a killbox with a floor, walls and roof of bars. Shoot all them bastages.

Any thoughts on having a radio (maybe not a 2-way radio unless you plan on putting 2-way dialogue in) in which way you can get your information?
Like, for example, weather reports, random horde activity news, some rich guy was seen in area x (find him and his loot is yours), you hear a distress call: "We are at this location and being chased by dogs. HEEELLLLPPPP!", and maybe worst of all, you hear the Duke, who you've peed off by not paying protection tax, or killing someone he liked or done something that displeases him.

"To the guy, I'll give you a nickname and you'll know who you are: Deadmeat. To Mr. Deadmeat, I'm coming after you. I've got eyes and ears everywhere and you better believe me when I say I'll find you."

And then you don't know which NPC's to trust.

Just an idea that, if done right, will add some paranoia to the game.
Maybe.

No idea, I don't run, I'm a tank build. I'll shoot some footage clearing POIs, I do it 90% with fists.
Please guys, make sure that the player can't evade or outrun zombies on nightmare speed. I am tired of hearing "what's the point of building a base or struggling to defend, since we can just run away" from people I am introducing the game to - and I can't blame them.

Yeah I thought maybe it was puke or a vulture a few times because usually that is what hits you when on a tower, then I saw the pesky guys leg humping me.
You guys still talk to the original backer you modeled the spider zed from? I bet he would get a chuckle how badass his zed is still doing. :)

Exactly. A speed slider exists for a reason, people. :p IMO, on nightmare speed, zombies should be as fast or even faster than the player (maybe not all zombies, but the smaller types certainly), and leave sprint as their default, slower setting. Just my opinion.

Tons of stack sizes relative to survival and combat have been nerfed (prepped food, bandages, ammo). You can hold 200 9mm though.
Edit: Once you find the book to bulk craft you can hold 5 boxes (500) of ammo in one slot, so think of it as a huge upgrade to storage space as a whole.
Nice, I like small touches like these.

What is Nemesis system?
A hierarchy of randomly generated enemies withing a faction. Special relations, struggles, traits, strengths and weaknesses that can be exposed by gathering intel and used to bring down a mighty enemy with relative ease. Sending death threats will increase their level and improve loot. Getting killed by even the lowest grunt will get them leveled up and promoted within the hierarchy.

Reading up on it will give you a better idea, ideally you play it to death and improve upon it.

I always figured the waves should keep coming from nightfall to dawn, and that them ending before dawn was a bug. But I guess you'd really have to tone down the individual waves if they endlessly spawned from 10 pm to 4 am.
Is there a fixed number of waves (or individual zombies), or a number based on gamestage?
Total count based on GS.

Is there any (practical) effect when a zombie is missing arms?
He can't clap anymore ;)

I haven't seen any major effect if the arms are missing. They then seem to give you a headbutt.

Buddhist zombies? :-)

"We all know that when we bring our two hands together sharply, they create a loud sound. What is the sound of one hand?"

- Hakuin Ekaku Zenji

To actually answer the question...

As far as I know they cannot attack with that limb any more. Take off both arms and they're reduced to trying to bite you, the "headbutt" animation mentioned above.
