Adding sounds to dog/wolf hoards would be great.

I have faced a few of them and they can be a real pain. Unless you happen to be looking in the right direction, you don't know that ninja dogs/wolves are there until they are on top of you.

They don't make a sound until they are hitting you.

They spawn in and home in on you like you are on there GPS.

I would love it if we could hear them approaching. The sound of a pack of predators barking, howling, snarling and running getting ever louder as they close in would make most peoples blood run cold.

 
So, does the gyrocopter stay stuck in the air on A18, or has it been fixed so it will actually float down to the ground on it's own?

 
I don't think they do, but we want to give mods much love in A19 and they would benefit from the random stats system. By then we'll completely move away from each mod adds damage. We already did in armor mods, they do not improve armor rating, they do specific things.
Whatever you come up with, it will surely be worth the wait. :) Although, may I suggest for in the future, a mod specifically for the wrench? It's just something that crossed my mind recently - we have the wood splitter mod for axes, the bunker buster and iron breaker mods for picks, the grave digger mod for shovels (although you can put any of these mods in any tool or melee weapon you fancy, oddly enough), but there is no unique mod for the wrench. You know, maybe the mod could increase the harvesting speed of the wrench by x amount or something. Just an idea, probably unnecessary, but I just thought it couldn't hurt to suggest it.

 
I'll be eating crow about this for a while but this happened last night:
OMFG I was flying the gyro and hit E by accident, and jumped out at very high altitude, luckily I had read the book that lets you fall a great distance, but I still broke my leg horribly lost 100+ hit points and fell right into a POI trailer trash area and had radiated and ferals waking up and around me. I used a lot of ammo got stunned and bled, but I still survived lol. Crazy accident I thought I was dead for sure.

I think I took my hand of the wsad to get a drink or something and put my hand one spot over from WSAD. Yeah we'll be putting in a parachute if I have anything to say about it :) I remember falling and the gyro was right there, I was trying to reach it to activate it and get back in and the thing just slipped away in slow motion. I was amazed I survived, I thought I was going to go splat. Thanks to books, 160 health and maybe heavy armor I somehow survived that. I did have 18k on me, so maybe that perk saved my life, I don't know.

Oh, so mods in A18 will be the same as A17 where each one adds a bit of damage?

I had no idea it sticks in the sky. I know Shawn did some crash code recently. It fell from the sky and crashed and took some damage, not enough IMO, but maybe 20 or 30%.

We're planning mods and a ratchet and impact wrench so there are three tiers to harvest tools. Imagine wrench being 2-3x slower than it is now, ratchet about like it is now, and impact wrench super fast, like 2-3x faster than now.

Ahh, excellent.

Just one final thing... I'm sure you're aware of this (or maybe you're not?), but the laser sight from the laser sight mod is way off from the crosshair, plus it isn't as noticeable as it could be, especially if the gun has a dye in it, since the color of the laser sight matches the color of the dye if one is applied. If this could be corrected at a later date (unless it already has been in A18), that would be nice. (:

Tier 1: Round parachutes - no steering, fast decent, chance for injury most likely a leg

Tier 2: Cruciform parachutes - no steering, moderate decent, no chance for injury or minimal chance

Tier 3: Ram air parachutes - steering, slow to moderate decent, no chance for injury or minimal

Birdy wait a little longer, until your wings are stronger, and then you too may fly away. My grandma used to say that crap when we wanted to do stuff and they said no, and that was the answer lol.

In short, we have a means of flight, you just have to acquire it. That stuff sounds fun, but adding multiple ways to fly when there isn't a single way to fight bandits yet, well it will need to wait ;)

Any chance that we can place an order with a trader?
I like this idea, including the finder's fee.

But perhaps an easier/more consistent solution, is that there is some increased chance of that item spawning the next time the trader gets new inventory (so, not an hour in-game).

...This is probably also off-topic though, so I'll say no more.
