Can you explain more about the new ore nodes? you mentioned something in your TFP walkthrough about making it easier to know what was under that dirt patch.

 
The pockets are awesome. I agree its nothing special, but if we come up with other clothing mod ideas we can make one of the books unlock that and shuffle some things around. Yes clothing has random stats.
I've been avoiding your book vids (want to be suprised :) ) so apologies if this is daffy.

Potential Clothing Mod; Water Bladder. Maybe saving a backpack slot?

No idea how it might work... refill with Cans/Jars? But how to drink from it...

Electricity query; with the new powered drawbridge it seems desireable that it could take two activation inputs..?

Maybe momentary (or setable delay) switches on both sides? Roll up, hit the switch, the bridge comes down for 5 seconds, then back up.

Or possibly trigger plates? hmm... they might benefit from a 'weight' setting, so a motorcycle/4x4 would trip but a bicycle/zeds wouldn't? Which, though a bit annoying for bicycles/minibikes would act as an incentive to move on to the later vehicles?

LOL on "advance sailor speak". Yes the game produces a wide variety of things you don't always expect, that is one of the most amazing things about 7 Days IMO.
Its a bug,but I was at some old mine POI and the thing literally started collapsing and I was dodging falling blocks and zombies while trying to spam med kits and survive. Most games need months and months of work to achieve a bug that fantastic.

(and I'm looking forward to the day that someone slips in a rare possibility for Rabbits & Chickens to be aggressive zombies, not really dangerous, but a goofy, "WTF?!? How did that thing get in base?? heh heh)

 
@MM, Have you ever played "The Forest" the concept of a smart sneaky cannibal showing up at night and killing you is freaky/scary/awesome. how hard would it be to make a smart/sneaky Zombie who can do the same thing?

 
Forest have canibals not zombies. Have u ever seen a sneaky zombie ?? Wtf. 7dtd is a different game zombies are like walking dead. Is much more nicer to add more hordes and make Gun Sound attract more and more zombies than anything else. So even in PVP the player will think twice before they shoot.

Dude, don't be obtuse. It is a game so anything can happen.

We have "Boss" and "screamer" zombies so I can easily see a zombie that is higher up the food chain or not fully turned. and FYI zombies eat humans therefore they are cannibals .

I also want more zombies, not smarter zombies.

joel what are some of your favourite books in 7dtd?
Depends on the build I'm doing, like if I'm an agility guy, the great heist and the night stalker augment that build very nice. If I'm fortitude, I want machine gunner. The mining books are good for anyone but especially a serious miner. They are all useful, but yeah it depends on the build you are doing IMO.

The never encumbered at night one is awesome, among others.

 
Some ideas: -thick padding +1 armor to clothes

-better fittings -0.5 stamina while running

-parfume increases stealthyness by overriding your smell
Clothing isn't armor and will never provide armor rating.

We have fittings and advanced fittings now that do that, even in A17.

Perfume, thats more of an alchemy potion with a duration IMO not something you install to mod your clothing. There is no smell stat to reduce with a passive, as of now but maybe down the road it could be of use if we ever add smell.

Bought it on sale ages ago and haven't got to it yet, but I've been meaning to. Its the only top survival game I haven't played, but I've watch my son play quite a bit so I already got the gist of it for the most part.

 
Yes, I level fast compared and I'm level 51 on day 57 so much slower leveling. It was needed since we removed level gates, we didn't want people reaching int 10 in 2 days. I wore nerd glasses most of the play through and started using learn'n elixer on horde night to level faster. I imagine some folks will be level 30 by day 56 and some a bit higher level.
I wonder how this matches what you said some weeks ago, that this game should mainly address the majority of players which put 20-30 hours into a game?

Will they still feel satisfied playing?

But, on the other hand, there is a xp-slider...

We're adding NPCs so those could potentially be sneaky.

 
Does the Dishong Tower exist in A17.4 RWG? I have not see it on the 20+ maps I have played.
No I think it was removed for performance reasons. It might return in A18 with occlusion and some optimizations it might return.

 
How expensive is it to add new zombie models? By that I mean using same animations as existing. If possible, I’d rather have more variety of looks than types at this point. I can understand if this is not possible.

if I find Volume 3 and don't have Vol 1 and Vol 2 - can I still learn it? I guess he question is do I need to use then in series like I can't get Perk 3/5 until I have Perk 1/5 and 2/5.
You can learn the volumes independent from another. It does not matter if you find volume 3 first. Read them the moment you find them.
