I'll have to leave a POI and see how long the leash is for myself.

 
Any secret stuff that will be in A18 that we dont know about yet? Or is everything that is coming pretty much known at this point.

It is but nobody seems to be keeping tabs on it. I talk about old stuff and some people are like oh cool I didn't know that was in lol. There are lots of small details though, like what every book does, etc.

 
I found a garage with a work bench and cement mixer... was so tempted to bulldoze it except for those two items and move in lol. But no Castle Madmole would not be a fitting castle sandwiched into a city, it must reside on a mountain overlooking a lake.

That's true but it can work as a starter base to build that castle.

 
I have experienced that cabin and was definitely convinced that it was an homage rather than just some uncanny coincidence. Actually got me all worked up and really nervous to go down into the cellar, lol! Congrats to the designer of that one and really the whole team creating all of these great POIs and getting them to evoke such a sense of backstory and purpose. It's so amazing that the 7Days toolset can be used to represent such a variety of easily recognizable real-world content. Really awesome stuff.

Yes we got painting and shape overhaul in for A16 I think... but it took some time for that awesome framework to pay dividends so A17 you guys saw all that, and will see more in A18. The perk system was a nice framework but it wasn't that great in A17, in A18 you guys will see it paid off breaking a few eggs.

 
joel it sounds like a stupid thing but could you add by any chance a recipe to make an empty can.....yes you must think im joking but in online servers all the cupboards are searched no cans and I need cans to make oil if you do make it like in the forge for 1 forged iron or something like that

 
No new blocks will be added because they need upgrades and everything. We'll probably polish the new shape system more in A19 with some larger changes to data.

Any plan to make Screamers creepier ?
In my last game i found one of them on the first floor of my base because i was irresponsible with open doors and activated forges. But it's the first time didn't hear her breath before.

I vote to make her climb up on the ceiling, turning head 180°. Lol

Seriously, have you ever thought about adding sleeping Screamers in POIs?

That could be interesting as a later game stage thing. We generally don't like to confuse game mechanics though so people can learn why there was a screamer.

 
What was dreamed up 6 years ago and where we can realistically go now with the average players best interests at heart are two different things. People bought RUST thinking it was a zombie game, they pulled zombies and the game was better for it. I'm not saying we'll never have that, but its taking away from what really matters at this point, a smooth polished experience. We already have a million features, we want to polish what we have really well before more stuff that is unfinished and if it affects FPS, then its cut until FPS is amazing and we have room to consider stuff.

Yeah, I understand that, I was just curious. Thought it would probably be scrapped or put on indefinite gold for performance reasons. I still really enjoy the game, livestock or not :) .

The constant NEED for stuff is flooding my brain and its like the feeling of you have 20 things to do and no time to do it is nagging at you making every second enjoyable. I mean my planner in my head is working overtime in this build because the needs/desires are so plentiful.

You nailed how I sometimes feel when playing 7DTD and Minecraft. When that happens, I always have the most fun :D .

I was mostly refering to those because in europe we do not have any slums. I know that you mostly live normal lives like "us". But there are these super poor areas over there that definatly do.

Maybe I should have said India, but really it doesn't matter.

It was not "you all suck" just a joke comparison.

You should grow thicker skin. :D

 
There is an evil dead inspired cabin now. It might be trivial to find a book that summons a horde when you open it lol.

I don't think it was designed to work with spikes yet, so it needs looked at.
