Its postponed for now. Our main goal is balance, bugs and optimizing. Now before someone says what are all these new guns and melee items, those are required assets to balance each attribute and playstyle. I think everyone would love that feature though, so hopefully we see it sooner than later.
Madmole, when can you make a Video showing something at least? I'm dying to see in action anything at this point

Still would use clubs over knives, would rather stop a zed in 1-2 hits then have to stab at it 5-8 times with a knife to do the same thing. I don't think anyone uses bladed weapons in a17 as they are just vastly inferior to blunts as a whole. When you have a feral in your face you kinda need stopping power, bleeding it to death slowly is not going to get you anywhere.... except dead. You also need to consider most of the zombies in this game are tweakers high on something, which makes it even more annoying to need more hits to kill them as some of them its hard to hit them in the head as they move it so damned much lol.
Machette all the way. Don't mind me, just proving your subjective opinion to be subjective.

Clothing can only accept one mod, and that is pockets. Your confusing clothing with armor.
Colours are of great importance on clothes.

Perception, because throwing a spear takes a perceptive eye to calculate arc, distance, etc.
Thank you for info! To be honest, glad to hear that i won't ahve to strain from my agility / perc build!

I know the only mod for clothing is pockets. Can there be a separate slot for color mods? It does not need to add to AR, just color so I can have my own denim collection. I will be the JC Penny's revived: Dead Z Penny's.

So, the Mantis Shrimp “feature” is present early game. That helps narrow it down.
Maybe a power attack with fists? Assuming the fists don't already have a power attack. I'm not usually stupid enough to go punching zombies.

They do actually, when a zombie starts getting really REALLY annoying, I snap and beat the living (or dead) ♥♥♥♥ out him.

Ah but dye is no longer a mod. I mean it is, but its not adding damage/stats or eating a mod slot. We're adding a dye slot below the mod list for dyes. So clothes have one mod slot and one dye slot.

Yep, see my previous post :)

And another A17 annoyance fixed. Thanks!!

I'll let the cat out on this. Zombies can get aggro when hit and nearly run now. It can go from slow to a brisk walk to nearly sprinting. It makes combat a lot scarier because they can suddenly sort of lunge at you. Hitting them again seems to sometimes slow them back down, but it is very cool. Sorry if your an always walk guy. I mean they don't just turn feral if thats what you reading here, mostly its a small increase in speed, just enough to make you feel a little uneasy and cause them to close the gap and hit you a bit more.

On the plus side, (IMO both are a huge plus, zombies were zero threat before and I didn't need armor at all) players now have a glancing blow so as you swipe your sword across a guy it might hit his arm and then hit his face for the intended hit. If you miss by a milimeter you will get a glancing blow, so less missed head shots that result in nothing at all, and it kind of helps make combat feel less binary.

Drinking a beer before the beatdown adds to the fun :cocksure:

Oh man, people are gonna cry if there is a new challenge. Let it begin! Lmao

Damn, now I'm jonesing for that video. This change is right up my alley. How will this work with always running mode? Just disabled?

Mr Mole,

Are you still able to destroy blocks in complete silence when in stealth mode? Or does hitting stuff (and opening containers) generate some noise now?

What about "mini-falls"?

Video!?!? I'm jonesing to partake in some of that fun they are having! :miserable: :pride:

Its a little more like Skyrim or Fallout where you might end up trading blows. Armor is way better out of the box now, perks do not influence it, so get some armor going if your going to melee. Cloth armor weighs nothing so pure benefit there. You can still avoid being hit if your good but the zombies tend to hit more with this, and its mostly just interesting to see them get aggro and start moving faster.

I always felt that noise should scale with fall distance. Longer the fall the bigger the impact, that way little falls would cause small noises.

It sounds great, now all id want is random walk/run speeds and random get up off the ground timers :)
