I know you need a perk...but the recipe calls for a Sham sandwich, not a Can of Sham... From your post....
<recipe name="foodShamChowder" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingPot" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="foodShamSandwich" count="1"/>
Oh I see what you mean. Thanks.

everyone thought it was modded... there aren't many biomes in vanilla ....but they are very eventful!

!!!!

Is that accurate digit? I'll take them all!

(runs away taking away calculator)
See thats the difference. To me I consider a biome to be a very distinct and unique place with completely different visuals, potential enemies, mining, POIs etc. The plains and other forest were essentially variants of the desert and the pine forest and didn't offer anything unique other than visuals. Its something that can be handled better as a large sub biome.

Nobody has all of that though. Lets try to limit it to 1-2 canned items, some meat and veggies for filler.

Can't have a decient Apocalypse without "Twonkies"! (we all know Twinkies would still be around in their packages 50 years later.) haha

"Twonkies" Recipe:

<recipe name="Twonkies" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingPot" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="foodCornbread" count="1"/>

That is more like full on chicken soup, ramen is just noodles.

As mentioned, lets restrict to 1-2 cans if we can and try to come up with cool robust recipes, these are supposed to be the more filling and nutritious higher tier foods.

I thought it has a pie crust like a pot pie though?
Nope. It's a layer of mashed potatoes on top that's looks like a pie crust. Meat, potatoes, corn and peas.

Only problem is you bake it instead of boiling or grilling. Any consideration for using the forge to bake stuff? Or will we get an oven at some point? Thanks MM!

Shepherd's Pie is meat and veg with gravy, under a topping of mashed potato. No pastry involved whatsoever.

Btw, the difference between Shepherd's Pie and Cottage Pie is that Shepherd's Pie uses lamb meat and Cottage Pie uses beef. Otherwise, it's the same pie.

I think A18 RWG poops all over every previous ones. It looks pretty damn nice at least in the forest. I'll post some screens soon. Roads are great, hills and nice, bluffs and cliff walls near roads looks great. Feels very natural to me.
Not sure if this is done, but when you do post screenshots or do a video of RWG, could you let us know the seed name/type? Whenever it comes to map generation it would just help to have a starting point (particularly if you find a good town or city) that could be explored and built upon.

no Shepard pie is typically ground lamb under a bed of mashed potatoes. people then add corn or carrots and other things to the meat section. It has also become popular to used ground beef instead of lamb.

Dear, Joel...

(I'm addressing You this way because i want to emphasize that i don't want to make You angry about the language barrier in any way).

Maybe, You just have not enough imagination :) ? (including the invention of new biomes)

All this comes with new biomes. It is only necessary to differentiate POI, scenery, spawning, etc... just like you said. we need to make these differences - that's all. And you have now - not the various biomes, and the mess from all that is available.

Besides, no there will be repetitions of the same POI in the cities ;) .

well...i feel bad talking to You like i'm teaching you.

With respect!

.. my wife?
This is why I play WITH my other half in this game and truth be told...I despise zombie games and even moreso hate crafting games - but look at me with over 2k hours in this game plus another 1k in mods.

^_^

Got it, thanks. I think I'd add corn starch for the pie portion.
It's not a 'pie' as such (not with pastry at least).

Basically minced meat, chopped vege mixed together and mashed potato on top baked in an oven.

Update - others already pointed this out...perhaps I should finish reading before posting lol.
