That is the plan. Robert is setting up a new class for it right now.

Would be nice if u can stack a few in one inventory slot. I know that prob wont work tho... different qualitiy levels..

If I just murdered someone and their bag teleported to the trader I'd be mad. That is MY loot. You have to think of SP, Coop and PVP settings when you design. That only works for SP.
Joel, but if the item disappears from the bag only after half an hour of real time ... if no one took the bag (whether it is a friend or an enemy)? ) It looks like it will work everywhere)

And if in the settings it is that the items from the belt do not fall, then the item that is on the belt will be climbed immediately, and the one that is in the bag in an hour. If player want the he is not to lose the belt, he will lose two items at once. The best item from a belt and the best item from a backpack.

It would be both good and bad if we could have only one in hand (stacked). Imagine the fun in both situations, based on difficulty.

 
Those new screenshots look excellent. Any chance for new plant and grass models the world is looking great but the plants are really sticking out now and not in a good way @madmole

 
No I assure you they didn't seek and destroy crops. They chased rabbits and stuff, so thats probably what it was.
Oh ok. It very well may have been that as I could not see the ground well on the videos. They were usually showing the destruction in large corn fields.

So the complaints about it were just that they got trampled? Why didn’t players just protect their crops? It’s not like that wouldn’t be fun. Not seeing the problem.

Now in Alpha 17, wolves and bears attack only deer.

You can change this in 18 alpha to:

Bear attacked wolf, deer, boar, chicken and rabbit

Wolf attacked a deer, a boar, a chicken and a rabbit, but ran away from a bear

Wild wolf attacked a bear, a boar, a chicken and a rabbit, but ran away from a zombie bear

and, may be other logic?

I missed that detail. I still see more value in losing your stuff forever. What good Samaritan in the wasteland is returning your goods to a trader lol. Rebuilding can be a good thing. I must have died 4 or 5 times in Conan before making it to the river and didn't know they had map markers for my stuff or what I was doing. I didn't mind getting new gear. I died again and it was on a mountain cliff or something later and lost significant gear but whatever, sometimes if you just focus on new stuff in stead of what you lost you end up with better gear before you know it anyway.

How was there never a spear before now? That is going to be my go to starter weapon if I can find matching loincloth.
We didn't have arrow stick code, didn't have a way to throw ammo, etc. It still takes some new code to support. The main reason was unity didn't have texture streaming so we couldn't ever unload any textures or downsize ones that you aren't looking at.

 
True, however I feel there's a balance between the game actively trying to kill you at every turn and it being a challenge. I did find A17.1 (the last Alpha I played before my screen was damaged and now I'm typing this on half of it) very hard and at night found myself too scared to do anything. I open a container after 10pm and I'm dead in minutes. I dig a hole and I'm dead. So basically the only way for me to stay alive was to wait and wait and wait until dawn. Not very fun, even though I kinda loved the realism and scariness of it.
Still, the zombies were far too sensitive to sounds that I was making.
If the zombie-heard-a-sound mechanic was changed from GPS'ing to the exact block the sound was heard at to simply wandering towards that direction, but losing interest after a few seconds if no other sound was detected, it would solve most of this.

I don't know if the zombie pathing can be told to move like that, currently, but if it can...quick easy fix to the shambling bunker-busting homing missiles.
