Ooo can’t wait for my jaw to hit the floor and to start involuntarily weeping after I die the first time and I see what happens...Definitely respect that. And when it gets released I plan to do this as well.

On death, it will delete your save, uninstall the game and format your hard drive, in that order for the extra dramatic effect, but not before it overloads your psu and sets your pc on fire (and empty your steam wallet for good measure, in case it wasn't consequential enough). That should nail that apocalyptic survival feeling!Ooo can’t wait for my jaw to hit the floor and to start involuntarily weeping after I die the first time and I see what happens...
Id be happy with blocks like a chicken coop/rabbit pen. Those are quite doable with the current systems in place and would not overload your world anymore than building a wall.Breeding animals isn’t gonna happen. Breeding animals means new entities taking up space and causes performance issues. Just like in Minecraft when you breed a bunch of animals.
tfp dont want MP servers to suffer because some dude is breeding hundreds of chickens for his new KFC restaurant.
As far as taming goes, we were supposed to be able to tame wolves. I donآ’t know if this idea got scrapped or not.
You mean like digging to bedrock and then digging a straight line in any direction? All you have to do is set up the forward button and M1 to be held down.yeah. Its even worse than my idea.I can prophecise you that ppl will simply go online, tunnel down to bedrock, leave their pc on and go shopping or other stuff just to get some xp so they dont have to needlessly wait to finally be able to craft something they need or to finally be able to carry the minimum amount they consider worth playing.
It is literally afk grinding.
My method is at least action related. And ammunition is expensive and darttraps dont damage at all so... yeah![]()
I know that it is not equal. I was complaining because this way of doing it would be even worse afk farming than what I suggested which was rejected because you shouldnt get anything without doing something (which was as stupid as it is now because you DO need to do things)
And yes it should be.
But traps actually harm you, since they steal your xp.
I could simply run around outside throwing molotovs and getting mad xp instead of putting up a gunturret and spending 500 ammo on 30 zombies.
Even the simple ai of the chickens is quite expensive, computationally speaking.Id be happy with blocks like a chicken coop/rabbit pen. Those are quite doable with the current systems in place and would not overload your world anymore than building a wall.
Oh complaints are a gurantee but yes, I was referring to a static block. A cage with a chicken in it that acts like a plant. You can take an egg from it every so often and/or harvest it for the meat. Same thing with rabbit cages. Lot of details that would have to be worked around it but not to insane a task. The downside is that it would be gimmicky as having the animals wander around would be much better. Like you said though, that is not worth the extra power. It is not multyplayer that I am concerned about in that manner though - I think there are simple tools that can be put in place to utterly negate that problem (such as a max herd count) but rather that TFP has already removed to many of the wandering zeds. More outside zeds > tamed animals IMHO.Even the simple ai of the chickens is quite expensive, computationally speaking.
A static block would be pretty cheap but everyone would then complain that the chickens never come out. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
There could be a larger animated chicken-den object (lets say 3x3x1 blocks) with a meshwire around it.Oh complaints are a gurantee but yes, I was referring to a static block. Mayic's farming mod adds just such a chicken-in-a-cage and it works really well. Rather than acting like a plant it acts like a crafting station. You "feed" it grain and it lays eggs (in other words you craft the eggs at it and use grain as the raw materials).Oh complaints are a gurantee but yes, I was referring to a static block. Not a bad idea. Ill have to check that out.Mayic's farming mod adds just such a chicken-in-a-cage and it works really well. Rather than acting like a plant it acts like a crafting station. Madmole where you at ?I'm not going to say no.So yeah, 17.3 this weekend?
If 17 is really that bad, how come it its selling 2-3x as many copies as 16 did? Just because some old customers don't like change doesn't mean they are game designers or need pleasing. Overall 17 is better, but we made some blunders. We're working hard on correcting a lot of these issues and I think 18 will sell as good as 16 and 17 combined. It's part of early access. Some ideas work well, others don't but mostly its just a matter of balance. Way too many features were rewritten or changed all at once, making it an untamable beast. We're taming it now though.I am glad that you and your group of friends agree with each other. It very well may be why you are a group of friends. Now, for the other 330 million people in this country we have different opinions. Some people like the changes, some do not.
I am not quite sure that they give cry babies too much credit, as I have not seen any great endorsement of your logic, but I will clue you in to a little secret kid; those complainers are the people that pay the bills. You kind of have to please your customers. You'll hear that in your ninth grade economics class.
It is swifter. Its not going to be a year and a half, and we're still fixing 17 bugs. Full A18 production begins when A17.3 is delivered. So if we patch today, you can start counting the days to ship a build when 17 is fully patched.A18 is looking to taste like good old 7 Days again...
But hunger continues as week after week goes by and we now into the third(ish) month since last major update ?
I thought the process of updating from here on wards was going to be swifter & easier etc. I can see a lot of art and coding being done (probably yet to be done as well) can not help thinking we looking at least 6 months till A18 hits us which feels agonising considering the year(and over?) we waited for A17 to land.
Wow, that is a horrible philosophy to have. What a way to ♥♥♥♥ on the old players, you know the people that allowed you to get where you are by buying the game in the first place. If 17 is really that bad, how come it its selling 2-3x as many copies as 16 did? The fact is, new players with no bias are coming in and liking the game. More so than during A16, and this is even with the horrible console freakshow giving us a bad rep. The negative reviews are coming from the 300+ hour crowd who doesn't like change, and most of them are too lazy to try the patches. So again, how are these old players paying the bills when new ones are buying the game and giving us good reviews and old ones are not buying the game and giving bad reviews?
