What are you talking about ? Last one was delayed for like few minutes and people went nuts. Make it hours next timeOhhh grasshopper you must be new here. An Alpha is never late, nor is it early, it arrives precisely when it means to!![]()
To save you guys a lot of trouble:Ohhh grasshopper you must be new here. An Alpha is never late, nor is it early, it arrives precisely when it means to!![]()
This tells me that you don't play on PvP and maybe this exposes another issue of multiplayer vs singleplayer. Maybe the materials economy needs to be adjusted between those two considering. Expecting someone to tackle a level 6 AK-47 with a spiked club has not tried to survive on a PvP server. Not a criticism, but it has to be considered in the conversation of changing the game.Meh, more payers means more people scaving. The problem is not that those resources are shared but rather if you are being economical with those resources or not. Go around blasting everything, you are going to have a tape and bullet problem. Use stone arrows and clubs, bones will never be an issue.
We love that part. The feeling when updating this game to new release is hell of a good one. That way people won't have a heart attack ..
JOEL, if there are no restrictions for creating vehicles, what will force us to use a bike or minibike? Everyone will just ride motorcycles and jeeps, isn't there? )Vehicles can now be crafted by anyone, have no quality levels but only INT players with perks can craft vehicle parts. So non int guys can go scavenge parts and assemble a vehicle.
But killing zombies gives you pretty much nothing(unless you loot around), while all the other activities allow you for quick leveling as well and getting crapload of resources. Mining in A17.2 is godlike.XP/time is the no1 reason by far, to choose an activity when people want to get levels. The fastest activity to get XP at early game by far, is killing zombies. So people are inclined towards doing that. Later in the game, the fastest activity becomes mining because the amount of XP depends on block damage (it shouldn't).
RNGesus will force you down one path or another. You can only build it if you find it. Maybe one playthrough that will be a bike and in another that will be a 4x4.JOEL, if there are no restrictions for creating vehicles, what will force us to use a bike or minibike? Everyone will just ride motorcycles and jeeps, isn't there? )
More players only mean that you can search the same area in a shorter time but not that more loot will be dropped.Meh, more payers means more people scaving. The problem is not that those resources are shared but rather if you are being economical with those resources or not.
Ya but the uninformed will probably be blindsided. I can see it nowWe love that part. The feeling when updating this game to new release is hell of a good one.
Dont mind. I am gonna snowboarding for another 10k years.Ya but the uninformed will probably be blindsided. I can see it now
"WTF, I just started a new game and they are dropping another patch!!! This is how not to do EA! I want a refund! They've been in EA for 27 years and now they start updating regularly! I'm calling my congressman about this! They are bending us over and......" Then comes the negative steam reviews, steam discussions, loss of self esteem, foreclosure on their houses, deforestation, mass extinction, and nuclear winter for 10,000 years.

I'm pretty sure we haven't been breaking saves with patches. To save you guys a lot of trouble:
Please in A17.3 patch notes say that this patch is a preliminary bug fix patch before A18 drops, Which will follow soon after. But you will have at least 3 months before A18 drops. (time estimate is up to you)
That way people won't have a heart attack when they have to wipe their games because of two patches in quick succession.
Or don't, either way is fine :smile-new:
Not sure, I don't make all the shapes any more. Will there be additional block shapes comming in A18?
I know many deem this minor. But it is somthing I have wanted for awhile... I think I got spoiled a little by Empyrion...
Ability to find the parts.JOEL, if there are no restrictions for creating vehicles, what will force us to use a bike or minibike? Everyone will just ride motorcycles and jeeps, isn't there? )
Well zombies do give you a respectable amount of XP, but considering they come to your door, in droves, are infinite and die rather fast at default settings it easily makes them the best way to level early on. Which is why a lot of people complain about "the game becoming a zombie grind". Loot containers are few and finite and can't exactly be used to "farm exp".But killing zombies gives you pretty much nothing(unless you loot around), while all the other activities allow you for quick leveling as well and getting crapload of resources. Mining in A17.2 is godlike.
I'm talking A17.3 to A18I'm pretty sure we haven't been breaking saves with patches.
That said, with some rwg fixes you guys will want to start a new save.
