@madmole, would it be possible to add most the decoration blocks to the traders? I know there is the creative mode, but as a person that plays on an MP server, I like to build and love being able to take joy in showing others what I've created. For example, I built this picnic area. Low priority, but that's what gives me enjoyment of the game.

I'd rather not see the traders inventory clogged up with curved iron pipes, an T sections, and whatnot. Instead I was thinking of a radial menu with a timer and the player must collect all these goodies at pois. You want a full set of bar stools? Go find them or steal them from another player who has one. Press E for a radial menu, see the hand icon show up, click on it, wait a few seconds to grab it, and its yours. Then you don't see "Press E to take" on every chair in the game and we can make decorating your base more of a find and bring home event instead of buy at a trader, and the radial option would allow redecorating your base, theft of most blocks, etc.

I have been away since early A17. really didn't enjoy it thought the game was dead to me. however i was convinced to give it another try and I've fallen back in love. what a turn around. keep up the good work guys. and whoever is working on the poi's needs a raise :)

 
Its not like that. It plays small tracks that are in the right keys and blends them together in a way that you'll never hear the same song twice.

My god, YES! I would add that perhaps some of the decorative items could be craftable too? Like the those POI house doors or the new lights? Seriously, I'm drowning in resources and need things to craft.

Possibly on the next alpha if the 18 perk rebalance is received well I can spend some time looking at all of that.

Actually, Kalex. MM go it right on at least 2 counts:
"Coin the phrase"

1: Originally meant to create. And your response assumes this. Although that definition is now dated.

2. Literally. That movie did literally make some coin from that phrase. Don't know how much, but there are a lot of vids that link the two.

3. Current definition. Google the phrase "Coin the phrase". You will learn that it is used mostly in a ironic or sarcastic way these days. And maybe the movie was the FIRST to do that. Literally. That would certainly fit with Kurt Russell the actor, his character, and the movie.

And, it would certainly work if that is the way MadMole had intended it.

The only way to know that would have been to ask him.

Correct. If we did a poll that said do you want 100 zombies alive on the server, or 20 zombies alive, with thousands of dead corpses... I think we can assume the answer.
I still miss corpses, i actually enjoyed chopping up the bodies after a 7 day horde with tons of loot to be rewarded with. Now it just feels meh.

I think I speak for all of us when I say either way ambiance is crucial to a game like this and you guys have been kicking ambiances ass since babies cried in the wasteland

 
I notice that infected tend to run around spike traps and barbed wires if just 1 is placed right in front of them. Is it possible to have infected not treat wood/iron spikes and barbed wire like an obstacle until they stumble into it?

 
I'm sure this has been asked before...but any chance zombie kids might be included at some point? I know it's dark, but the scares from some kid busting out of a cabinet to bite my legs would be freakin' scary as all get out.

WE had to pull out all the stops to get 17 running poorly, so once we get things optimized we can think about adding some things back.

I was a little skeptical at first but I love what I've heard so far on the new music system. I let the game run for a few hours while I was working on designs and it never got old or repetitive.

I think it’s worth it because what’s the point of having spikes and traps if the zombie ai paths around it. Makes them kind of pointless in my opinion.
