Am I the only one that feels a little bit sad that we are going Gold soon.

Personally i wouldnt mind beeing in alpha five more years. It has been five great ones!!!

 
I don't get it. I found that most POI's you can get through most of the area without breaking down a door. All I have to do is to look around to find a way in. That may mean going to the back door or through a garage or climb up a laddus that vines are growing on. Or even going to another stand alone building and jumping up a few boxes to walk across a tricky catwalk just to get in but I have done it.
Secondly, why worry about waking zombies jumping out at you and the door when you can get them to help you. If you just knock on the door, they will open it for you. ;)

Then they come poring out in a nice tightly packed group were they are easily dispatched.

Are all the basic systems in place now for us to start thinking of a workshop in steam and all that entails?

Prefabs, maps, Mods etc

I'm particularly interested in user made maps and POIs. I'd love to see what the community comes up with in that regard.

Now that I have a PC I am able to start using all the wonderful modlets that people are creating and whilst they are fantastic and I very much appreciate what they do, I can see so many more possibilities for people to showcase their work in the workshop.

P.S This game is freaking gorgeous on max settings!

 
madmole I want a branch of skill for melee boxing, mma boxing.

I want to be able to be a mma fighter within 7dtd with lethal punches and blockades.

exchanging blows with the zombies

I think there was already some of that in alpha 16 and it was ♥♥♥♥ing great

PS I will bet a few dollars for Khabib Nurmagomedov if he returns to fight with the crazy Irish

Man, punching with the power move being a shove or kick back would be awesome.

 
I would be down for some real fist attacks/martial arts fighting added in game...

Have played thru every single fallout game , 1,2,tactics , 3 , Vegas , 4 and 76 as an unarmed character...

Have played Morrowind , Oblivion , Skyrim all as unarmed fist characters...

Something about punching ancient dragons , giants , super mutants or mirelurk queens to death in just a few hits has always been awesome...

Any changes , or perks...that could make punching viable in game...would be great!

 
Seems like its your job to police your friends not ours. Either don't let them in your base, or lock your doors, but adding control like that seems like too much hand holding and takes away from interesting dynamics in a social game.
I built a Trading Hub for our servers where players can have machines all under admin protection, and in this hub I have working stations for people to use if they need them. Sometimes you get random arseholes who will take the grill/pot from the campfire, and the anvil from the forge. Most people leave it alone, but you get that one jerk who ruins it for everyone.

Our servers host 15-30 people at a time most nights, and they run 24/7, so it's hard to police it all the time.

I just thought allowing them to use the station, but not allowing them to take the tools would be helpful is all. I don't think it's handholding at all. :(

I will consider a melee book set. Khabib will fight the winner of the Holloway / Porier, I mean Holloway lol. Actually I predict he pulls a stunt and says he will only fight Ferguson then the new interim belt holder because Ferguson is the real guy in line for that fight and Khabib only wants the best fights that challenge him. Respect to Holloway but the guy has zero wrestling ability and no real power so he poses zero threat to Khabib. That said he will steam roll Porier. Hard to say who McNugget will fight, he turned down the Cowboy fight because he wasn't the main event.

 
I have a request, it seems simple to me but maybe isn’t. Can we please get some type of info on how mods will he officially supported other than “steam workshop”. There are several outstanding questions from modders that haven’t been addressed.

I get it’s not close to gold master. But it seems that some modders have more inside access than others to info about modding. I’d love to see an official “thing” about modding from the pimps and not just modders in the forum.

I apologize if this seems nebulous. I’m simply asking for anything “official” from the pimps about mods and modding with beta/alpha release notes or a separate post in the mod forum.

 
MM already said at multiple occasions that there will be no friendly followers or friendly NPC's besides traders.
He said no friendly followers. I don't think he said no friendly NPCs at all besides traders.

At least, I certainly hope he didn't.

 
Like madmole pointed out earlier, I don't think the game will change much at its core from here on. There will be more content but I don't expect to see many new mechanics besides bandits. And that's fine by me. For new, shiny stuff, I'd rather them start a new game from the grounds up. That way they can tailor an engine to their needs with the experience that they've acquired with 7 days to die. It would allow for so much more.

 
You mean default in steam, or in game? Steam can be funky with controllers. (We use DS4 controllers, BTW.) I' try it today and see if it works as expected.
Zombie ai intellegence difference makes sense... good to know, and thanks for the reply!
The in game settings. Options &gt; Controls &gt; Defaults button.

If anyone sounds like they have inside info, they're just making it up, like I do. Based on posts, common sense, etc. :)
