Regardless whatever potential we may see in 7 days to die, I don't think we were ever promised anything more.
Sorrybut i have to say that Madmole ALWAYS promised more!Especially"the better performance"

They're working on optimization, it's just not ready yet. You'll have to wait like everybody else.

To be completely honest, my PC is more than capable and it runs ok for me. I'm currently having a blast playing Division 2 so can wait a while for A17.3 and A18. Pretty sure I'll be playing 7 days again before too long as it's always the game we end up going back too and enjoying.

They are "working on optimization" since15.whatever and havent got it till now.They made it worse frm update to update and screwed it on 16.4!Afterwards they destroyed the Performanc completely!17.0 and onwards are Not playable anymore!Despite i have an I3 with 8GB ram and i cant play it ,not even on the lowest setting!

Yeah, alright. You're clearly not going to be convinced so I'm not going to bother arguing. I'd strongly advise you get a real computer.

 
It seems Madmole lost the Ground and is high flying,ignoring his playerbase and is creating only for the fast buck!maybe got lazy?For example,what is with the performance problem?Still selling game on Steam with min of 6 ram despite game needs 12?Disappointing players that support you a long time but cant play anymore because your game sucks more and more in Ram usage?Madmole get real and change your attitude!Do something for the people with not that high performance PCs.Every update you put more useless crap into it instead of making it perform better!Since 16.4 most updates where nonsense.And a Gyrocopter does not help me get the ability back to play on my computer again.Greetz fom a player with nearly 2000 h of playing(up till 16.4,then it went unplayable)And i realized that you completely ignore the comments on your YT channel,like the critics of the community here!And your comment alltogether is rude and disappointing

Did you read the memo? A17 uses 2.8 gigs of ram, A16 used 6-7. All of our programmers are currently working on optimizations as well as half the content team. So put your potato back on your desktop, I'm pretty sure we've got you covered.

 
Wait...you're one of those youtube commenters that write really caustic things? And you realized that Madmole ignores those posts? And somehow you found your way here?

Sorry,but iam NOT caustic!And i wrote the things normal in the commentary sections of YT!But no replys or answers!Only praising what he is doing!And its no toxic crap,its the disappointment of a really enthusiastic player thats voice is ignored!If you cant understand this,thats your thing then!

So strangely that after a certain time ,only playing 7D2D,and doing nothing alse the Ram of my Computer is on 94%?And THIS is not only happening to me!

How much ram do you have then? And also, how much ram usage does the actual game use?

I will, but on the TFP official channel. I just haven't yet because of bugs, performance and A17 balance, etc. I'm going to use my channel to talk about personal interests like business, gaming, game design, goal setting/smashing, bodybuilding, ufc, etc. I might do some lets plays of 7 days personally as well, but the preview vids will be on TFP.

This is a ridiculous statement. I had an i3, with 750TI card and 8g of ram and ran a16 WAY better than 17 ever ran. I literally had to go buy a new pc just to ensure i could run it properly.

Man im not trying to be a troll or a jerk here but this statement is a flat out lie.

Are you talking about texture streaming? which makes the game look like crap? Or lowest of the low settings? Because medium settings, i can tell you 2.whatever gigs isnt happening.

It only uses less because of streaming, which ADDS CPU overhead instead. (In a already CPU bound game)

Its all trade offs. Turn off the streaming (and get gains back on the CPU) and the game still uses 5GB+ of VRAM.
