PC Alpha 18 Custom World Saves in Alpha 19

Will Alpha 18 Custom World saves work in Alpha 19?

I started playing in A16 and I like to build massive fortresses and underground bunkers, and was disappointed when I had to start over fresh in A17. But when the the same thing happened again, and A17 saves were invalid in A18, I was really pi$$ed and quit playing the game.

So, I'd like to know if I should waste my time building again in A18, or is it a waste of time and all that work will be lost in A19?

It is the same in every Alpha. The game code get´s massivly changed in a new alpha. That´s normal in Early Access games. But you have the option to stay in an older alpha.

 
Get the mod launcher. Set it up to save games separate from the vanilla. Then run the game with no mods for A18 in the mod launcher (runnning a copy of vanilla) and when the game updates, your A18 save is safe in the mod launcher folder. Which allows you to run any alpha version you want while your regular installed vanilla is the latest.
