Bug Description:

1) Snow covering more blocks in trader place (1st image)

2) when i have intellect "8" than crafting item lvl 6 (2nd image)

3) Can "Lamb Rations" is writed with Food poisoning 0, but in one time see bad head in status :) (3rd image)

4) Item from belt dont go move or splitting with right click (4,5 th image)

5) If is it bug :) , than is it in a16 too - forge is burning and when have in forge iron or something and changing with something with more time, than time not changing for this one item - big item is melted per second :) .

Check if you wear the Nerdy Glasses, they give you 1 Tier Crafting Bonus. If you wear them, then its not a bug.

Actual result: Crashing the Editor before I can actually do something

Expected result: Being able to access the World/POI Editor

EDIT: As the QA Team looked at other issues and not this one, I started testing:

When deleting the game via steam, the gamedata is not completely removed. I deleted all game folders and also the data in the app/Roaming System folder. Then it worked perfectly. Therefore as a User I would LIKE to have a text document where all folders and files from 7daystodie exist... So I can uninstall manually and do a clean reinstall...

Played about hour or so. Upon being killed by zombie got game crash with error bad_module_info. After joining back to game my character is alive but also under him was backpack with duped items.

Bug Description:

Found a test note (Give me A Z). After activation, I was sent to the desert biome. Upon arrival, I activated the task. Half of the zombies fell spawn partially in the ground without the opportunity to get out.

What you need to do to reproduce the bug: Activate the note and upon arrival at the site activate the task.

I have verified files. Errors occurred. Uninstalled the client.

Restarted my PC. Reinstalled the Client. Created a New Game. Errors occurred.

a17b240 prefab folder does not contain a cabin_06_lg it was last used in a17b197 removed in a17b198.

Then why is it showing up after I uninstalled the game and reinstalled a fresh copy and it is showing up on every NEW game world is the prenamed ones, but not RWG?

I guess I should ask; Do I just ignore this massive list of errors ?

not 100% but most likely not see a change until a17.1 is released then we may see the a17 Stable.

all depends on what scheme they (TFP) choose to use.

so as others have said and i did a video on it, when you opt out of experimental you are in the exact same build that was declared stable.

new members who are installing 7dtd for 1st time will automatically get a17b240.

my a17b240 rwgmixer.xml does not contain the cabin_06_lg but it does have cabin_06.


 


are you reusing a modified rwgmixer? if not, this is what should be in yours as i show a screen shot of mine.

i have to ask because i have created quite a few different RWG maps and we (TFP) have 6 test servers and not having this issue.... i want to find the problem if we can.

Bug Description: Night vision provides no visibility in the pitch dark areas, such as, indoors, or rarely outside when there is no weather effects to add at least some degree of light to reflect on. This seems most prevalent when looking at certain tile types, such as darker colored carpet paints.

Reproduce steps: Put on Night Vision, go into a pitch dark place, such as inside a building with no windows at around 22-2 hour mark, find a room with no light and darker colored tiles, turn on night vision.

Actual result: Still as dark as without night vision, save super shiny surfaces, but even with those few shiny surfaces, still cant see anything of where you are going.

Expected result: To be able to see at least nearly clearly in any dark places without the need of some form of anti-stealth flashlight(flashlight, mining helmet, headlight, etc), or other source of light nearby.

Bug Description: Client uses too much memory when joining a server running RWG 16K map, causing excess swap file utilization and crashes. When joining a server running RWG 16K map, client memory usage peaks at more than 18GB, and after loading it will settle down at about 15GB ram. Any client with 16GB of ram or less will churn the swap file for a long time and usually crash. According to Steam hardware survey, this is 96.25% of all Steam users (I wonder how accurate/update that is? I would expect more people to have more than 16GB, I have 32GB in mine..)

Reproduce steps:

On dedicated server, generate and run a 16K map. Then have clients try to connect. While connecting, their memory usage will try to exceed 16G, and it usually crashes before that point.

I have tested this on several computers. An 8K RWG map works just fine, as the client will consume a lot less memory on these maps. The few I've looked at used about 8GB or less.

Actual result: Clients with 16GB or less ram cannot join dedicated server running 16K map.

Expected result: Client memory usage should not exceed, or even approach, the maximum amount of ram. Clients should be able to join and play on a server running RWG 16K map.

Bug Description: Investing in the light armor perk either gives no benefit, or isn't showing in the UI.

Reproduce steps:

1) Equip light armor.

2) Buy into the light armor perk.

3) View the stats for both the individual pieces, and the player's total armor value; both protection value and durability remain unchanged.

Actual result: As above, player and item stats do not reflect any changes.

Expected result: That light armor pieces would be more durable, and that I'd have a higher protection rating wearing light armor.

When I go to New Game; I name my save file, choose Game World. The Game Worlds named Zuhehi Territory, West Wikeno Territory, New Batiyo Valley all do it. None of the others do. Now these are NOT under the New Random World section, just the simple Game World selection. Attached are the Screenshots of the Brand New saves to show the errors in the logs as well as the Game World name.

hey Red, logs arent needed now because the issue is where player uninstalls as expected but does not realize the generated map data is kept in a different directory which does not (yet) get deleted/wiped. so when players says they wiped... well they did... but the game didnt get rid of all folders thus is still loading old saved map data and bringing forth the errors.


 


these folders will need to be manually deleted to prevent further issues when a wipe is needed.



my install is on separate nvme m.2 drive


 


D:\games\7 Days To Die a17b197 exp\Data\Worlds\saves using county names (i delete ALL left over folders)


 


this has already been reported. and SarahPantera is back up and playing 7dtd.

also FWIW: this issue is in many games and programs where altered folders and files do not get deleted when an un-install is performed.

I've an ongoing ticket with my server host about this. They are trying everything in the book as am I. Currently about 30% of our entire playerbase is unable to properly connect to or even see our server. I have two computers. One runs fine with 16gb of ram. The other at 8gb was playing the entire experimental phase just fine on Navezgane. But then when we wiped one of our servers for Size 2 random gen our playerbase began to encounter these issues.

I honestly have not seen this issue in other servers up until reading this forum post and our playerbase is insisting that it is only our server due to them trying other servers.

I've found some MINOR success with the problem PC I have access to using GL Core Renderer from the launch menu options. That works..... When it wants to. Most of the time it doesn't even let me fully load the client before crashing.

I have all sorts of crash details. Please acknowledge the fact that this is a MAJOR issue for what now appears to be MULTIPLE servers. I've been going borderline insane trying to troubleshoot this thinking it was only us having the issue.

Logs can be provided if requested and if this bug is actually acknowledged. Please notice our plight senpai!

 


I truthfully felt the need to add this information since currently this is a drastic horrible gamestopping bug if it is indeed something on your guy's end. Which it's seeming like it is

Bug Description: Self Medicated is a known 'perk disabled by design' thing, however I've just noticed on our play through that the magazines still drop for it and if consumed, you get the higher Fortitude value just not the Self Medicated perk as you would with any other magazine.

I realise that this is likely to be implemented come 17.x so this report might be a moot point, but it still can allow higher Fortitude levels unintentionally.

 
I am also have this Game since it came out on Steam. Played every Alpha Version and Performance wasn't a Problem. Maybe some time needed to lower it a bit (hostet often Multiplayer game). On Alpha 17 Exp. i can run it on MAX Settings nearly Smooth without be under 30 fps.

Only if a big bunch of Zombies spawn (like Screamer escalation or Blood Moon) the FPs rate go a bit down.

Sure, it can be better optimized. All Games can everytime Optimized. 7 Days to Die get often big changes so priority for Performance optimation, i think, isnt high then.

For me it runs good. In my opinion the game go a very good way and is very playable. Sadly if some one have more trouble to run the game.

Bug Description:

A Friend join's on my Game via ingame Menu. He have some Intellect Points so he have any% Craft Time reduction.

If he now start a Crafting, say like Forged Steel in Forge -> 20 Forged Steel maybe 5 min normal, he have 2,5 min craft time. (as example)

If he go out of the Forge, the Crafting Time snap back to 5 minutes. This also happen if i start a Crafting (with max reduction) and the 20 Steel maybe only need 1 min, if he look INTO the Forge, the Crafting time snap also back to 5 minutes. (i see if i look into the forge)

If i start the Crafting (host) it do NOT snap back.

BUT this happen if i log out of the game OR i am out of the chunk and come back later.

Need maybe more testing

Actual result: Craft Time "reset"

Expected result: Craft Time should stay at this Craft Time it get started
