Alpha 16 is the best. All downhill from there.

They needed work but they were awesome for tactical base defense. Especially NOW with turrets. It would force you to clean up the piles or your defenses will get "clogged" as it would in reality. I would imagine a pile of dead bodies in front of your turret would make them ineffective after a while.
