Why do we need to remove all items from secure boxes to install decor modlet?

I read it as upgrade existing decor boxes, not installing the mod from fresh. I'm assuming he changed the content size between versions.

This works in A18 you just have to put the icons in the right folder. The new icon folder location is (modname)/UIAtlases/ItemIconAtlas. So instead of an icon folder put the icons in that directory and it should work fine.

I will upgrade to A18, maybe next week, I still haven't had much time to see how the new version works, and I'm having fps issues

I looked for the directory you described and I can't find anything like that. Under Config in the mod's individual folder it looks like this:

AlfalandiaDecor/Config/XUi/ItemIcons

and /Config/XUi/Resources

That one is for furniture.

For the floors:

AlfalandiaFloors/Config

/ItemIcons

/Resources

Any idea where to move the icon folders in these scenarios? I can find the names of the items of course, but there is no picture for them.

You need to create the new folder with subfolder and move the icons there. You can see the folder structure on my screenshot.
