Add option to reset day counter when choosing permadeath

When u decide to choose permadeath and lose all progress on characte and there is option to delete all items on death, i find it little problematic when if u have reached day 100 for example without dying and on death lose all and get fresh start but day counter stays at 100 which makes this not a fresh start and is harder to progress because difficulty level is now increased significantly from day 0. therefore im aking is it possible to add option to select reset the day count in the menu where u make all other adjustment for the save?

Your days alive get reset but the day number is a server side thing.  This is inherently a multi-player game that just so happens to support single player play.  The day counter is a server feature so they would have to effectively reset the server on an individual player's death.  They could maybe make it a serverconfig setting but it seems unlikely unless they truly lock down single player games so that nobody else could ever play in the same world.  I don't see that happening.  Maybe a mod?

On servers in multiplayer: No. Just no. That is why you do multiplayer, to help each other out. If you reset to day 0 you also do that for all other players wich will get bored very soon.

On soloplay: Start new game, problem solved.
Or just don't choose permadeath.

F1 - "settime day minute second" (after settime use numbers instead of words to indicate time. With spaces)

Doesn't the current game in singleplayer end? The last thing I played with permadeath was Diablo II, after the death message you were sent to the main menu. I haven't tried playing this game with this mode.

Not sure how to call it., there is no real solo option in the menu. It is just that you don't allow others to join but you can change that every time you start your sessio so I presume it is just your character progress and inventory that is wiped and not the world. This also match with OP's story and how I read the explanation in the menu.

I wouldn't say so. If you go to the settings menu in a single player game, the game pauses. There is still a single game mode here.
True, but there is no setting in the menu for dedicated single player. Only the choice between online or ofline wich you can change every time you start a session.
