Add experience gain from killing with traps!!!

It's very disappointing that the demolition skill is essentially useless. Mines do not give experience. I don't use stakes either, no need for them. Create a need for these survival tools!!

The only traps that give you experience are electrical/powered traps and only if you perk into that.  Being able to generate experience without doing anything by using a ton of cheaply made passive traps is pretty cheesy, imo.

I absolutely disagree with you.

In my opinion, it's stupid to give experience for electric traps. They're easy to make, easy to place, and last a very long time (they're hard to break). How much experience do you think can be gained from mines and stakes, and how much from an electric fence or the fan in proportion? Mines with stakes need to be made, placed, and repaired all the time, and you can blow yourself up on mines, and you need a lot more resources for both mines and stakes than for an electric fence - all cons. Just make a survey among players who use mines or stakes and please answer me, what's their point in your opinion with the current balance?

Judge for yourself, a grenade requires fewer resources than a mine, but you throw a grenade into a cluster of zombies, and a mine kills a maximum of two or three zombies, if it's the most powerful mine and if you're very lucky. Where's the imbalance here? At the same time, you can have your entire inventory in grenades, and a mine explodes once. The same goes for stakes. Their installation and repair is a real pain in the ass.

It feels like you've never used mines and stakes in your games (in survival mode)...

You get experience for farming the materials.

You get experience for crafting the trap.

You do not get free experience for sitting AFK doing nothing in the middle of a field of spike traps.

This is called game balance.

And you get the same thing by lazily throwing grenades into a bunch of zombies, sitting behind an electric fence and chopping up zombies with a fan...

Oh yeah, and automatic turrets...

Now this game is absolutely not dynamic. Killing zombies always comes down to you climbing up a hill and shooting them or throwing grenades at them in boredom. And you are wrong about the freebies of killing zombies with stakes or mines. A lot of time is spent on installing, repairing and updating them. This is equivalent to killing zombies manually. This creates dynamics in the game, as do proposals to complicate the zombies' intelligence, by adding triggers and dependencies. By refusing this, the developers make the game boring.

Throwing a grenade is actively defending yourself.  I would actually choose to remove experience from powered traps before I add experience to mines or spikes.  What you do to craft or place something isn't equivalent to actively defending yourself.  You get experience for making them.  That is enough, imo.

As far as I know, you get experience for making anything. I wouldn't cancel it, but I would reduce the experience gain from active technological traps, because it is easy to repair and it kill a lot and effectively, which is not the case with mines and stakes, most of which always remain unused, and their potential is limited due to the space it occupy.

I will add that the experience gained from zombies in the intervals between the blood moon is meager, compared to resource extraction, production and experience for completing quests, therefore, given the difficulties with the operation of mines and stakes, due to the space it occupy and the damage to the player, it benefit will be minimal outside the blood moon, but will finally appear, because it will finally cease to be useless, which is what I am counting on.

If you remove experience from electric traps, I'm sure it will gradually be abandoned or it use will be minimal. Experience is very important, since the character's development depends on it, which is already long.

Сonsidering that with each blood moon there are more zombies, not getting experience from killing them is tantamount to a death sentence, because as far as I know, the damage of everything they are killed with depends on the skill.

At the moment, nothing prevents you from smearing yourself with stakes on the first two or three nights and sitting and doing nothing, but the role of stakes and mines decreases with each night and in the future, the lost experience and slowed development due to this will cause huge problems, because, as far as I understand, the stakes produced do not compare with the experience that you miss out on by not killing zombies.

The developers can safely remove the stakes and mines from the game if nothing changes, imho

Regardless, passive experience is cheesy.  And if you are relying on that, then you really aren't making much use of your time in the game.  You already get a ton of experience very quickly and easily in this game.  More is not needed.

And, yes, removing money and spikes wouldn't have much impact for most players, other than that we like them.  They are not intended to be your main defense past the early game... If you even use them then.

I beg you, play with mines and stakes in survival mode and you will understand that it is not easy and simple, with the exception of the first two or three nights. Even on the first nights, when experience is very important and while there are few zombies, using stakes is extremely unprofitable. Mines and stakes are why people go to play this game. I would like to use them throughout the game, because it is epic. I don't understand why you resist so stubbornly. Without mines and stakes, the game loses a lot of content.
I have already described to you that of all the mines and stakes placed, about one third is used, not counting the passages. A third is very little.

How are stakes and mines worse than just throwing grenades, please tell me. It doesn't matter whether the grenade is actively protected or not. You don't have to think to throw grenades, but you have to think to place stakes and mines and try not to get caught in them yourself.

When did I say that they should be removed?  I even said I liked them.  There isn't anything wrong with them.  They just don't need experience added to them.  You get plenty from other sources where you are actively doing something.

I think there are two solutions to this problem: either add experience to traps, or remove experience from zombies during the blood moon. What do you think?

And it's not that you don't get experience from making traps, but that one ore two grenades kills five to twelve zombies per explosion stable whitch is moste effective and moste boring. This is clearly imba

Interesting question about free experience - did they fix the amount of experience from zombies after the introduction of an endless stream of zombies in the blood moon? 😶

I'm removing the question, you don't have to answer.

Lack of experience for killing zombies is equivalent to deleting the object, because without experience no one uses them, even you, imho

actively bored

lol
So you think no one uses them?  Really?  Heh.  People use them all the time and they're are many people who have posted about them in here and many gameplay videos and Twitch streams showing people using them.  And they don't give experience.  So.... yeah.

Twitch streams showing people using them.
You can show anything on twitch, for the sake of the audience and it doesn't matter if it's effective or not. You need to make a survey, "do you use stakes and mines on a regular basis or not", then it will be clear. Twitch is not an indicator, imho

You said no one would use them. You didn't say no one would use them except for fun or views or whatever else.  In any case, people do use them.  But as I said, they are not intended as a late game defense even though some people continue to use them late game.

In any case, if you are that curious, then make a poll.  Nothing is stopping you.

People don't avoid using something because it doesn't give experience.  At least most people don't.  If they removed experience from turrets and blade traps or other powered traps, so you really think people wouldn't use them?  Heck, I never even put points into the perk that gives experience for using those and I use them in every game.
