PC A19: No small stones in forest?

So the forest biome appears to be missing a little something: small stones.  Traveled throughout one extensively and couldn't find a single pebble..  As soon as I reach a different biome their all over the place as usual.  I'm hesitant to report as a bug because it seems so weird.  Anyone else encounter this?

I've also noticed a lack of small stones.  There was one server where I spent 20 real time minutes looking for 2 small stones so I could make the starter axe. It might just be that they are difficult to spot amongst the grass.

You all realize you can get a few starter stones by punching a boulder or even some concrete ? It says so even in the loading screen tips.

Rule number 1 in any survival game - punch all the things. LOL Punching asphalt takes longer than a boulder or concrete, but that also works if nothing else can be found.
