PC A17 July deadline - going to win $50!

Yes, there is that. While the end of Alpha will signal the commencement of some welcome focus on optimisation, it'll also mean the end of major new content.
But....also the beginning of the next project. I'm ready to make another $30 installment for 1000's of hours of more gameplay

Indeed. These guys have been really great. I've wasted sooooo much $$$$ on failed KS/EA stuff. I wish I'd invested in 7D2D.

Yeah! But better wait a little, otherwise, based on current trends, we might get another battle royale ;)

Imagine my imeasurable dissapointment when I found gamebreaking bugs after gamebreaking bugs on both single player and multiplayer:

1]Traders always dissapearing

2]Turrets not working correctly

3]Pvp completely broken ,players constantly raiding bases

2/3] Did I mention turrets not working correctly?

4]Electricity being almost completely broken. Time relays, solar panels, multiple parents all bugged. Super inefficient electricity system.

5]AI clipping ,hitting and teleporting through walls

The game feels unenjoyable after the steel smithing upgrade not because it is easy to kill zombies but because nothing works 100% correctly.

They should release more patches to fix glitches and bugs before adding new content. I hope after A17 we will see something not just new but also see ALL the major bugs fixed.

Learn to Alpha (to be blunt).

I play and mostly dont see any buggs. Zombie wierd behaviour, sure, quite some clipping, yep. But nothing of everything else you mention. I play singleplayer, not on a server, no idea if that has anything to do.

Lets wait and see...

Once they said July was going to be the "target" for A17 experimental, I instantly bet my friend $50 that they DEFINITELY would NOT release the EXP in July (Simply going by Fun Pimps history and ALWAYS being off/late on everything!). It looks like I am going to be $50 richer!
That said - one other piece of info that I found quite amusing is after A16 was released they (The Fun Pimps) SPECIFICALLY said "we want to release content in smaller batches so it can be more frequently". The funny part is since that statement we are now entering the LONGEST period EVER between releases LMAO! Love the game, love the work - but DAMN! There are devs with far less people/employees, waaay less $ and more complicated games who releases content faster than TFP's snails pace! lmao!

And no one can say "Well they want to get it right" - (See multiple bugs in each and every prior release and currently in game)

Anyways - Hope it comes soon!
What excites me is we're gonna get nearly a years worth of hard work from the pimps..

so even if they didnt update every month.. this new update should be a whopper.. i saw on tube someone driving a car around and a pimped motorcycle. (pun intended). that said don't hold your breath waiting for this release.. everyone who has, has died so far...

Look what no man's sky did in a year with their recent update to next which took a year...they are a small company as well, it has been close to a year or been a year now and the content their adding is no where near as impressive. Don't get me wrong I love 7 days but this is crazy, isn't the point of early access is to help with things like this? Game breaking or not. How long is A18 going to be? 2 years?

This next version is special since they're converting it to a newer version of Unity and need to rebuild a lot of things to make them work in the new engine.
In the words of LMFAO, "STOP! Hatin is bad."
I like how you think he is hating, if he was hating he wouldn't give 2 ♥♥♥♥s how long the update is because he wouldn't be eagerly waiting for it.

SMH

Pretty frequent updates, fairly similar game. https://empyriononline.com/
You have lost your mind. there is nothing similiar about this game. I run a server for Empyrion and 7DTD and although the updates may come more frequently for Empyrion, they are ridden with bugs. I would rather wait a year for a finessed new look at a game then have world breaking updates every week or two. E8.2.1 for Empyrion was so ridden with bugs that ENTIRE PLANETS would lose their POI's, bases players spent hours and hours building only to log in one day and it's not there and there's no way to get it back. Also, Empyrion is convoluted at best to mod and 7DTD makes it a total joy to alter their vision to suit a preference or request. There are layers to happiness, Empyrion has fewer layers IMO.

anyone wanna bet against me? $100 It comes out in september!

I wish I had dense money and a friend to burn. I'd also drink another like.
I have dense ... well I wouldn't call them friends... it's more like dense people I know that I avoid except for co-workers, and I wish I could avoid them...

But I'm betting 50/50 we actually get an experimental release the end of August. Only 50/50 cause I half expect it to be September... I would, however, put up a $50 bill that we don't see anything before Aug 15th...
