PC A17 Experimental to Stable; restart?

I don't think I've ever caught a new build during experimental so this is my first go. Will I need to restart a new map after the stable build is out? Thanks in advance.

It all depends on changes, since Random Gen is kinda buggy ATM where many POI seem to spawn a few feet above ground a new map gen will most likely be required to ensure good play. But if you want to keep old save they have never not let you for A16x, other than not going to get much help on issues as hard to troubleshoot if using a old build.

You probally have to restart from experemental to stable, its usually the case. Use the playtime now in exp to learn a17 and decide on a build and such. Thats what I am using it for.
