Since a fair few of us still play singleplayer, I propose the following skill
Homesteader. The idea is that as you put skillpoints in, it increases the radius of your claimblock and especially the no zombie spawn zone. Ideally culminating in being able to place multiple blocks so you can have multiple bases to use as outposts.
